The interior of the flat in Krakow was designed by Dominika Rams, a graduate of architecture and founder of Rams & Partners. The architect skilfully combined minimalist design with strong colour accents to create an attractive and original living space.
The flat has a clear functional division. The largest area is occupied by the living zone, which consists of a living room combined with a kitchenette. The open layout emphasises the spaciousness and fluidity of the interior. Curtains have been hung at the large windows. They are accompanied by heavy, cobalt blue curtains that add depth to the interior. The living room is distinguished by a modular light grey sofa with a distinctive quilted design. The sectional is complemented by a large blue armchair with streamlined shapes. The character of the arrangement is enhanced by the black and white striped carpet.
Tasty kitchen colours
The kitchenette is the essence of modern minimalism. The architect relied on the matt black of the lower cabinets and the mirrored silver fronts of the upper cabinets. The workspace is complemented by a white marble worktop, which was paired with a black sink and mixer tap. Another modern theme is the kitchen island. It stands out with a steel finish. Upholstered hockers with decorative metal legs have been placed next to it.
The smallest but important room is the bathroom. Dark stone surfaces with a subtle texture form the background for white marble accents in the washbasin and shower area.
The matte black countertop washbasin with its organic form harmonises with the black mixers, and the spacious shower, enclosed by a transparent glass pane in a black frame, emphasises the modern character of the interior,” explains Dominika Rams, author of the interior design of the flat in Krakow.
The appropriate aura in the bathroom is given by LED lighting with irregular, organic shapes. The large, rounded mirror, on the other hand, reflects the light, enhancing the effect of spaciousness.
Cheers to contrasts!
When designing the interior, the architect wanted to combine luxurious elements with minimalism. Bright, structured plasterwork on the walls adds lightness, while abstract paintings in orange and cobalt tones introduce energy. Designer lamps with organic shapes and precisely positioned spotlights on the ceiling rails complete the modern character.
