He is a big fan of automobiles. This is what his Prague flat looks like

The protagonist of this story is a young entrepreneur who loves cars. This love of cars was expressed in the design of his flat. The flat was designed by architects Bet Orten and Matěj Hájek of SKULL studio, who made it possible to display a vintage car right next to the living room.

The flat is 133 sq m in size and is located in Prague, Czech Republic. Its design corresponds to the needs of the investor, who became fascinated with cars through his grandmother and her friend. The grandmother was friends with the ambassador, who often talked about her fascination with fast cars.

The interior was designed in an aesthetic combining early 20th century modernism with an industrial style.

The interior design is imbued with the essence of an imaginary protagonist – a visionary, a time traveller, a globetrotter who traverses the spiral of the modern era with unwavering precision. But his journey does not bind him solely to the past; he has both the imagination and the means to co-create the contours of the future. The concept of ‘co-creation’ is central to understanding the allocation of spatial functions, the project authors explain.

At the heart of this space is the extensive living area. It is located along the central axis and consists of the living room, the kitchen with an island and the dining area. The latter also serves as a conference room (with a retractable projection screen). The living area is heavily glazed and the panoramic windows overlook the garage. There is an original atmosphere here, which changes at night. After sunset, the lighting creates a bar-like atmosphere.

The club lounge has a relaxed atmosphere, with comfortable sofas, a coffee table and a geometric bookcase. A large window and glass door allow easy access to the veranda, which is an additional leisure area especially in summer. The warm red light enhances the relaxing atmosphere and symbolises night rides through the city. An unobvious element of the loft is the bathtub located between the living room and the bedroom.

The interior design is carefully thought out and meets the needs of the owner. The lack of fixed partitions in this open space provides plenty of space for free thoughts. The flat often becomes a meeting place and social events are held here in a club format.

The superstructure, which houses a storage area and a bathroom, is also an attractive feature. On top of this, a large bed has been created for guests to use. It is also an excellent vantage point from which to oversee a house party.
