Home Concept Interior Design Centre in Katowice won the Property Design Awards 2026 competition in the “Building – Shopping Centres” category for Building 3, completed in 2025. The award confirms the high quality of architecture and consistent development of one of the most important interior design locations in Silesia. This year’s victory crowns many years of investment and architectural efforts that have made Home Concept in Katowice the largest interior design centre in the region.
This is the first victory, but already the third nomination for Home Concept. Two years ago, the project was nominated for the competition for the architecture of Building 2. This year, the Interior Design Centre received a nominationfor the interior of the shopping centre and for the building’s structure, winning in this category. Building 3, opened in September 2025, expanded Home Concept Interior Design Centre, increasing its total area to 17,000 m². Thus, the complex has become an interior design centre offering the widest range of products for individual customers, architects and investors. The new partwas designed for people looking for unique solutions, timeless design and access to the best Polish and European brands. The architecture of Building 3 fits harmoniously into the existing layout, while standing out with its modern, distinctive structure, which was recognised by the number of votes cast and the decision of the Property Design Awards jury.
Strong brands and a comprehensive “floor-to-ceiling” offer
Renowned and respected interior design brands have opened their showrooms in Building 3, including BoConcept, Jawor-Parkiet, Mirad, Moco Home, Vongai Concept, Wajnert, Bizzarto and Dion. Their presence has expanded Home Concept’s offering, particularly in the furniture segment, but also in the areas of flooring, tiles, ceramics and bathroom fittings. As a result, Home Concept Katowice now offers its customers “floor-to-ceiling” solutions, enabling them to implement coherent and refined designs in one place.

Architecture, design and art in one space
An integral part of the complex’s expansion is also a sculpture by Oskar Zięta, located in the patio, in a historic chestnut tree alley. This is the artist’s first project in Silesia, which, thanks to the patronage of the owners of Home Concept, the Kołaszewski family, has become a valuable element of Katowice’s urban space. The presence of a work of art by an internationally renowned artist emphasises the idea of the centre as a place where architecture, design and art intertwine, creating not only commercial but also cultural value.
Family vision and consistent development
Behind the success of Home Concept Centrum Wnętrz is the family-owned company AB/Development. It is their consistent vision, attention to quality and long-term approach to investment that have made the complex in Katowice a valued point on the interior design map of southern Poland. The Property Design Awards 2026 for Building 3 confirms that the chosen direction of development, based on high-class architecture, carefully selected brands and dialogue with art, is recognised by both the industry and real estate market experts. The award was received by the author of the concept, Aleksander Jankowski, architect, Jankowski i Opyrchał Pracownia Projektowa, chief architect Dieter Paleta, Biuro Architektoniczne Arkat, Krzysztof Kołaszewski, investor, AB Development, and Marcin Kołaszewski, investor, AB Development. “Aleja Kasztanowa is the backbone of the entire project.
