How will we decorate our bathrooms? The answer at ISH 2025

This is one of the most important events in the architecture industry. The ISH 2025 is about to start in Frankfurt am Main, an international trade fair where you can find out about the latest products for bathrooms, construction or energy solutions. The fair will take place from 17-21 March, with 2,400 exhibitors from more than 50 countries presenting their offerings.

How will we decorate our bathrooms? This question will be answered at ISH 2025 in Frankfurt am Main. Our needs are constantly changing, we make use of new technologies and increasingly opt for eco-friendly solutions. Today’s bathrooms are increasingly combining functionality with beautiful design, often becoming bathing salons that are not just for hygiene, but also allow us to relax at home while remaining in harmony with nature.

Modern forms and materials

One of the main themes at ISH 2025 will be sustainable design. In contemporary bathroom designs, great attention is being paid to the environment. Architects are increasingly opting for natural materials such as wood, stone and ceramics, which, when supplemented with advanced technology, create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces.

Timeless solutions are gaining in popularity. Minimalist forms, subtle colours and matt finishes bring peace and harmony into the interior. The bathroom has to respond to our needs, which is why we are increasingly using modular solutions that make it possible to personalise the space according to individual expectations.

In modern bathrooms, we take a sustainable approach to the use of nature’s goods. Advanced water and energy-saving systems and high-quality fittings help to reduce resource consumption while increasing user comfort.

The bathroom of tomorrow at ISH 2025

The organisers of ISH 2025 have prepared an extensive programme with lectures and symposia, where participants will be able to deepen their knowledge of new interior design solutions. In Hall 3.1, trade visitors will be able to visit the Design Centre. This is a specially designed space dedicated to trends. The ‘Pop up my Bathroom’ exhibition will inspire with visionary concepts, while the ‘Spa, Pools and Wellness’ zone will show how design can support a holistic approach to health and well-being.

Putting people first

One of the key challenges facing designers is to create spaces that are accessible to a wide range of people. An ageing population needs solutions that combine aesthetics with comfort and safety, which is why interiors are increasingly featuring wide entrances, height-adjustable furniture and fittings that allow the installation of additional handles. These are just some of the examples that make it easier for people with reduced mobility to use the bathroom.

Modern technological solutions are also being used more readily in interiors. Exhibitors at ISH 2025 will include smart, customisable mirrors and advanced health monitoring systems.
