It is elegant, slightly stylised and feminine. The flat is located in Wrocław and its design was prepared by Anna Budzowska of the buduAR studio. The interior was created for a client who dreamt of a quiet place. The result? Take a look.
The flat is 67 square metres and is located in the southern part of Wrocław. The investor was well aware of the effect she wanted, so she pointed the architect in an aesthetic direction.
The apartment is located on the ground floor of a multi-family building and consists of four rooms. The owner can make use of her private garden, to which she has access directly from the flat. When designing the space, the architect decided to make minor changes to the functional layout. A section of the built-in wall, which covered the terrace window from the entrance and closed out the light, was removed. In place of the wall, a wardrobe was created.
We wanted to keep two separate bedrooms, provide larger wardrobes and a cosy, tailor-made kitchen,” says Anna Budzowska.
The flat was not only to be used for relaxation, but to be versatile. When visiting family or friends, the residents can spend time at the large table in the dining area. During the week, the table successfully serves as a comfortable place to work. While sitting at it, one can admire the plants growing in the garden. A large corner sofa has also been placed in the living area.
The atmosphere of the interior is given by olive-coloured window coverings and fabrics. In the bedroom, curtains and a curtain have been hung to give warmth to the space. A strong accent is the wallpaper in green colours with floral motifs. The colour scheme itself, based on olive shades on the walls and walnut wood on the furniture, is joined by a dark oak floor laid in French fir. It appears in all rooms except the bathroom and the kitchenette.
The common denominator of the space is the high-quality materials. Oak on the floor, veneers on the furniture and stone on the countertops in the kitchen and bathroom. The designer opted for timeless, elegant finishes. A variety in the kitchen is the ceramic sink with a beautiful mosaic above the Cosentino worktop.
Finally, it is worth mentioning the lighting. The ceiling features original lamps made by a Wroclaw company and designed by a friend of the architect. Made of onyx, they shine above the table and the peninsula in the kitchen giving a warm light. In the hall and in the bedroom, white glass fixtures made in a local glassworks shine.
