Its décor is reminiscent of the 1960s and 1970s. The interior of this spacious flat in Warsaw was designed by architects from Studio Monocco. The apartment is 80 square metres and was designed for a young couple and their energetic dog. Dark colours and elegant accessories gave this space a timeless feel.
In the heart of vibrant Warsaw, in the dynamically developing Wola district, an interior was created that seems to tell its own unique story. This 80-square-metre apartment of a young couple is a manifesto of modern design, where functionality meets a hint of nostalgia for the 1960s and 1970s. Every bit of this space has been carefully considered to express the character and passion of its inhabitants.
Crossing the threshold of the flat, we are immediately swallowed up by an unusual aura of cosiness and originality. The living room, which is the heart of the modern asylum, impresses with the warmth of natural materials and expressive colour accents. The sofa, which reigns over delicate walls in a shade of bottle green, invites you to relax, while the modernist coffee table and a subtle painting inspired by the works of Stanisław Baj emphasise the artistic character of the space. Stylish lamps, carefully selected for their form, and a geometrically patterned carpet create a coherent yet contemporary atmosphere.
Elegant flat interior
The kitchen and bathroom, although a completely different story, follow the same philosophy: bold experimentation with colours and materials meets here a harmony of tradition and modernity. The worktops made of red marble attract attention with their distinctive character, contrasting with the matt tiles in similar shades, which give the space rawness and depth. The chequered pattern created on the floor seems to pay homage to classic designs, while the wooden cabinet fronts and steel accents emphasise the industrial yet elegant character of the interior.

The designers of this flat have focused on the details – every line, every texture and every colour has its meaning here. The custom-made furniture, decorated with modified veneers in shades of pink and red terracotta, adds a unique expression to the space that is as bold as it is subtle. This thoughtful composition of materials, shapes and colours not only meets the functional demands of everyday life, but above all celebrates aesthetics and emphasises the individuality of the inhabitants. The interior of the flat is very warm and soothing, even inviting you to spend long, relaxing evenings and energetic mornings here.
Artistic note
The flat designed by MONOCCO is not only a living space, but above all an expression of an artistic vision combined with everyday comfort. It is a place where functionality intertwines with nostalgia for bygone eras, creating a uniquely harmonious whole. It is a space that is in perfect harmony with the spirit of its inhabitants, providing a unique showcase of their lifestyle and creativity.

Don’t let the editor’s profile picture fool you. No one has hacked our website! The LEGO brand encouraged us to celebrate Children’s Day in a unique way. We changed the profile pictures of our editors, taking us back to the blissful time of childhood 😊. The cursor in the desktop version, which turned into a LEGO block for a few days, is also a variety. This version of the website will accompany us until 1 June. This year, on the occasion of Children’s Day, the LEGO brand prepared a special action with the Slowhop platform, as part of which it filled 21 houses across Poland with LEGO bricks sets and gave those willing to participate the opportunity to spend a weekend of creative play in them. We wrote more about this action HERE and HERE.
PS and if you are looking for an idea for a LEGO set for creative play then check out our suggestions HERE. These are good gift ideas, not just for Children’s Day!
