The starting point for the design of this 130-square-metre home, created by Florkiewicz Studio and Wzór Woodwork, was the proximity to greenery, the peaceful surroundings and materials drawn from nature. The design was created with everyday comfort and tranquillity in mind, and the nature-inspired interiors feature a warm, subdued aesthetic with distinct accents of dark wood.
Two designers were responsible for the interior design. Martyna Florkiewicz-Pietrzak from Florkiewicz Studio designed the living area, the children’s room and the bathroom, whilst Paulina Markowska-Chudzicka from Wzór Woodwork took charge of the bedroom and the entrance area. The house was designed for a multi-generational family. The ground floor is occupied by the parents, whilst the first floor has been adapted to the needs of the younger members of the household.
The interiors are dominated by light beiges, sandy tones and earthy colours. The designers opted for wooden floors, veneered built-in units, stone and linen fabrics. The cohesive palette is broken up by dark wood appearing on the parquet floors and furniture fronts. This gives the interior a more distinct rhythm and a more elegant tone. However, the minimalist forms do not create a cold impression. The whole space remains cosy and comfortable for everyday use.

An exceptionally calm atmosphere has been created in the children’s room. Here, intense colours and excessive decoration have been avoided, opting instead for muted shades inspired by nature. The only stronger accent is the red wardrobe, which visually warms up the interior. A completely different mood prevails in the bathroom. Darker colours, the distinctive pattern of the stone flooring and the heavily grained veneer lend this part of the house a more assertive character.
The bedroom has also been designed as an intimate space conducive to rest. A light background is paired with dark wood, adding depth to the interior. The centrepiece of the room is the upholstered bed, along with decorative lighting that creates a soft, evening atmosphere. The whole house has been designed in a style that blends with its surroundings, without an excess of ornamentation or fleeting trends. Instead of striking contrasts, the focus is on the harmony of materials, light and proportions, which has produced a very pleasing effect. Interiors inspired by nature offer a sense of respite just by looking at them!
