The investment is being carried out by Budimex. A huge photovoltaic farm is located in Wysoka Głogowska near Rzeszów, and its construction is nearing completion. Budimex is completing the construction of another one in Wymyslowo in the Mszczonów municipality in the Mazowieckie voivodeship.
The company is simultaneously building two photovoltaic farms named Kamelia and Azalia. The investment is expected to strengthen Budimex’s position in the green energy sector in Poland. The smaller Kamelia is located in the Mszczonów municipality and the final stage of construction work is currently underway. Work has been underway since February 2023 and includes the installation of 33,870 panels with a power of 620 watts each. The farm occupies 180,000 sq m and has a total capacity of 21 MW. The end of the work is scheduled for March 2025, and the start of energy production and sales will be in June. As Budimex points out, the Kamelia farm is distinguished by its unusual east-west layout, which is expected to ensure optimal energy use throughout the day.
More powerful is the second photovoltaic farm near Rzeszów. Azalia is being built in Wysoka Głogowska and will have a capacity of 60 MW, which is expected to be sufficient to provide energy for more than 25,000 households. The farm will ultimately consist of 100,000 panels, which are expected to produce around 65 GWh annually. Completion of the farm is planned for the middle of this year.
As a leader in the construction industry, Budimex is constantly looking for new areas of development. We are developing the renewable energy segment to actively participate in the country’s energy transition. For us, the Kamelia farm is not only an investment in the future, but also a tool for meeting the energy needs of the Budimex Group,” emphasises Tomasz Grzęda, Member of the Management Board of BXF Energia, a company belonging to the Budimex Group.

BXF Energia, as a joint-venture between Budimex and the Spanish Ferrovial, is part of our strategy to diversify and expand our activities into the segment of green energy production,” adds Tomasz Grzęda.
Budimex Group, through its XF Energia company, plans to achieve a total of 80 MW of green energy production capacity this year. It will use it for internal needs or sell it.
