The interior redesign project was prepared by Nubo studio. The flat is located in an old tenement in the Muranów district of Warsaw. The small space was extensively remodelled to suit contemporary needs.
The interior in the tenement created many limitations. The premises are located in the old part of Muranów, surrounded by parks and other old buildings. The investors wanted to create an interior here that would correspond to the character of the neighbourhood. The flat was to be classic, but with the addition of vibrant colour. They wanted stucco and expressive accessories to appear in the small space.
The flat has undergone a major functional metamorphosis. Stepping inside, we find ourselves in a spacious hall. Originally, it served as the kitchen. Thanks to the changes, it was possible to fit a large wardrobe with a hidden washing machine and a decorative dresser with mirrors and stucco here. The entrance to the bathroom is also located in this section.
Another space is the living area, which consists of a living room combined with a kitchenette. The kitchen has been designed on one wall, so that the lounge space is not restricted. The architect has managed to functionally divide the space in an optimal way, ensuring that each zone is comfortable to use.
From the living area, sliding doors allow access to the bedroom. In this room, a double bed and a wardrobe have been placed, which offers plenty of storage space. The interior is dominated by two colours: cashmere is combined with green and complemented by gold accessories. The white walls also create the right mood, brightening up the space.
We are pleased that the atmosphere of the flat matches its surroundings and the use of wallpaper on the ceiling, which combines perfectly with the view through the window to the greenery and the park,” admits the author of the metamorphosis project.
The designer also likes the simple fronts in the kitchen, which do not bring it to the foreground of the living area, but form its background.
Finally, the floor is worth noting. It is an old parquet floor laid in a herringbone pattern. Renovated once again, it will serve the next generation of household members.
