A flat in the Sol Marina complex, situated on the banks of the Dead Vistula, is a true oasis of calm in the bustling tourist life of Gdańsk. The project borders on the picturesque Ptasi Raj and Mewia Łacha reserves, thanks to which residents can commune with nature every day without giving up the comforts of city life. The interior design was prepared by the F-STUDIO studio, whose pillars were inspired by Japanese minimalism and harmony with the surroundings.
The owners of the flat are Aneta and Przemek – motorboat sports enthusiasts, who pursue their passion with the help of a yacht moored just off the waterfront. The private captain’s quay at Sol Marina enables them to set sail immediately, while living in a space designed to suit their needs. Therefore, the choice of location was not a coincidence – the place reflects the dynamics of their lives, while guaranteeing peace and relaxation when they return to the mainland.
The designers from F-STUDIO, Paulina Góźdź and Agata Pawletko, created a 51sq m interior, arranged into a living room with kitchenette, two bedrooms, a bathroom and a hallway, and additionally enriched with a 10-metre balcony. The challenge was to make optimal use of the space, so each zone flows seamlessly into the next without losing functionality or a sense of spaciousness. Large windows open up the interior to the outside, flooding it with natural light and allowing the marina to be admired from every corner of the flat. The balcony, meanwhile, becomes an extension of the living room, an ideal place for both morning coffee and evening relaxation.
The interior is decorated in a muted, warm palette – beiges, broken whites and greys are interspersed with accents of amber stone and natural wood. Each material has been chosen with the utmost care: the natural textured plaster on the walls and ceiling is reminiscent of sand, while the veneered furniture fronts have been complemented with fabric-textured wallpaper to introduce a subtle contrast. The dark, warm wood flooring works perfectly with the large-format tiles to create an elegant and timeless base. The entire space exudes tranquillity.

The main protagonist of the interior is the Patagonia stone, which flows seamlessly through all zones of the flat. In the living room and kitchen, it can be seen on the worktop, and then appears in the subsequent carpentry, combining these two worlds into one coherent narrative. The irregular patterns and shades of amber hidden in the stone structure are reminiscent of the sea shore. In this way, each interior element tells a subtle story of a seaside adventure.
The details of the wooden built-in were complemented by an original washbasin sunk in a solid oak panel, which gives the kitchen and bathroom a unique character. The fluted dark glass used in the furniture and the delicate shape of the lamp above the table reinforce the impression of organic lightness. The lamp, reminiscent of a shell or seagrass bloom, exudes a gentle light that sways as freely as the waves. It is the little details that complete the whole, bringing a balance between austerity and cosiness.

In the centre of the lounge area is a painting by Andrzej Sobiepan, mesmerising in palette and form, catching the eye as soon as you enter the living room. On the shelves and tables you will find ceramic works of art by Aneta Koci – a bowl and a vase with a raw, rough texture that fit perfectly into the coastal story. The artworks not only decorate, but also build up the atmosphere, merging the minimalist concept with the natural narrative. As a result, every corner of the flat becomes a place for reflection and contemplation.

About the studio:
F-STUDIO Design Studio was born from the combination of two different personalities but one common passion – the love of beautiful interiors. Paulina Góźdź and Agata Pawletko are a duo with different temperaments but a common vision and an inexhaustible source of inspiration to create original spaces. We love working with people, good energy, beautiful interiors and travelling into the unknown. Our journey together began in 2020, although each of us had been working independently since 2015, designing both residential and commercial interiors.
