Its interiors were designed by Krzysztof Szyra, who runs his Szyra Studio design studio. The flat for the couple was to combine visually attractive and practical solutions. This is how they managed to create a 55 sq m space.
Krzysztof Szyra designed the flat in warm, cosy colours. It was created for a couple who often work from home. The owners wanted to achieve a harmonious atmosphere for the space, where the pistachio kitchen would become a favourite place to spend time.
Due to the small size of the flat, several functional modifications were made to allow better use of the premises. The first modification became a wall in the hallway with different functionality. It was covered with oak décor and conceals a wardrobe for outerwear, an entrance to the study and a utility cupboard with washing machine and dryer. This treatment allowed the bathroom to be free of working appliances without interfering with the fabric of the kitchen. The wall flows freely into the veneer of the fridge, creating a gateway to a sequence of kitchen cabinets in a pistachio shade.
In the smaller room, the housewife’s study was designed with a built-in cabinet with interesting linen-textured fronts, which received a beading on the lower corners and brass handles.

With its dimensions, the bedroom did not allow for the reconciliation of a wardrobe and a second workspace, hence the built-in hanging over the headrest allowing additional items to be hidden. A large mirror in the hallway enlarges the space by reflecting the entrance to the bedroom. It is punctuated by a marble countertop with a drawer for handy items and a pouf for dressing shoes. Everything is both functional and aesthetically coherent,” concludes Krzysztof Szyra.
