In Wrocław, on an area of 65 square metres, a flat of unusual simplicity and refined modesty has been created. Julia Hołoś’s design does not impose form or stylistic accents. Instead, she relies on discreet values: light, balance and materials that acquire dignity over time. It is a space designed not for show but for life, in which every detail contributes to an atmosphere of calm and lasting quality. For years to come.
The designer decided to reduce unnecessary ornamentation and focus on what is most important: the needs of the inhabitant, the rhythm of his day and the functional logic of the interior. The design for a man who values order and simplicity translates into an orderly composition of materials and colours. Dominated by natural wood, stone and subtle fabrics, which do not compete with each other, but interact to create a coherent background for everyday life. Every element has its place; nothing is a coincidence.
Kitchen and living area
The kitchen has been handled sensitively: the veneer finish and stone worktop emphasise durability and elegance, and its gentle separation from the living area has been achieved by means of a built-in riser that also acts as a wall for the TV. This architectural decision made it possible to keep the space flowing without giving up a clear division of functions.
The living area is characterised by a warm palette of beiges, sand and muted greys; a soft sofa and simple, thoughtful furniture are elements that encourage relaxation, and light permeating the interior completes the feeling of tranquillity.
Bathroom
The bathroom continues the language of materials used in the rest of the flat. Its example shows that the designer treated the project coherently. The combination of wood, stone and black fittings creates an interior with the character of a home spa: muted, balanced and timeless. The material and colour solutions promote a sense of intimacy and regeneration, while remaining practical for use.

The most important thing is the resident
The starting point in the design process was the person who will live in the interior – his or her emotions, habits and usage needs. This is why Julia Hołoś avoids showy solutions, focusing instead on consistency: material, colour and texture must work together, not compete. This project is the realisation of the belief that beauty can be discreet; the interior is meant to function as a home and a refuge, a gentle backdrop for everyday rituals.
