Its interior was designed by Sylwia Lashmann and Marek Lewandowski of Pracownia Duży Pokój. The flat is located on the Fordon estate in Bydgoszcz. The space was decorated with expressive accessories and strong colours, which helped to create an original atmosphere.
A well-designed flat meets the needs of its inhabitants and makes them feel good. Such is the case with the flat in Bydgoszcz, whose design results from the owner’s fascination with southern European aura. The investor is Dominika, who wanted the flat to be filled with characteristic colours, interesting objects and a sunny atmosphere.
Since she herself is a visually sensitive person, she is a stylist and colourist, the interior was to reflect her way of thinking about colour, and was to provide her with a warm and cosy atmosphere during the months when it is grey and cloudy in Poland, ” explain the architects.
The flat is located in a green corner of the city. The trees growing nearby can be seen well from the windows and harmonise with the entire décor.
The heart of the apartment is the living room with kitchen. From the threshold, a small hallway leads into it with a surprising lamp, an old telephoniera and azure-blue panelling. The telephoniera is no longer a place for the telephone, but serves as a seat for putting on shoes and a place for the lamp. Both this item and the cabinet under the washbasin in the bathroom were acquired by the architects on the famous Czach. The patterned wallpaper by the French company Casamance also adds character to this part of the flat.
More vintage elements can be found in the space. The bathroom cabinet has an original Rosso Levanto marble top, beautiful old marquetry and interesting metal embellishments. The piece of furniture was previously used as a chest of drawers, but thanks to the intervention of a carpenter, it was possible to change its interior. The eye is attracted by the unusual colour combinations, the ornamentation on the ceiling, the Spanish tiles on the floor and the piping, which create a cosy atmosphere.
An attractive feature of the living room is the fireplace portal in a blue shade. Right next to it is an old table, which was previously renovated.
Noteworthy is the investor’s idea of a TV hidden in the picture frame. – This is a great solution if no TV cabinet is planned,” emphasises Ms Sylwia.
The kitchen also has a bright aura. The furniture in this part of the flat is highlighted with a warm wood shade. The worktop in the kitchen was custom-made in Italy from marble conglomerate. It is a clear accent in this space and blends in perfectly with the colour of the other furnishings.
Blissful tranquillity prevails in the bedroom. The room was designed in beige, using natural materials such as wood and rattan. The bedroom walls are covered with linen-weave wallpaper.
