The house near Grodzisk Mazowiecki was designed by architects from the A8 ARCHITEKTURA studio. Their task was to create a house – an oasis that would fit in with the green surroundings and be a place of respite, but also enable comfortable and convenient work.
The investors asked the architects to create a house design on an exceptionally wooded plot of land. The proximity of the forest, on the one hand, posed some limitations, but on the other hand, it is a huge asset. The main objective was therefore to create a space that would blend harmoniously into the natural landscape, preserving the existing vegetation as much as possible. When designing the building, the architects tried to position the volume in such a way as not to interfere with the precious trees, creating an open and light-filled space.
The owners wanted their house near Grodzisk Mazowiecki to correspond to their sense of aesthetics. They wanted to feel good in it. This is why the interior of the house is well-lit. The design was intended to subtly blur the boundary between inside and outside, giving the impression that nature penetrates inside and the view of the surrounding forest becomes an integral part of their everyday life.
An important part of the design was to create a remote working area that would encourage concentration and help them to work effectively. The house was also intended to be relaxing, so the interiors were designed with comfort and ergonomics in mind. In such a home, it is easier to achieve a so-called work-life balance.
It is also worth paying attention to the finishing materials. The interiors are dominated by natural materials that harmonise with the surrounding nature. The dominant accent in the space is wood in warm colour tones. This material juxtaposed with subtle lighting creates a cosy atmosphere. The use of wood in various forms enhances the impression of closeness to nature.
The result is a house that combines modern technology, functionality and proximity to nature, creating an ideal place to live and work, with the possibility of daily contact with nature – both in the garden and in the vicinity of the pony pen, conclude the authors of the project.
