After the spectacular success of its premiere edition, the Break in Classic Festival returns from 31 July to 2 August 2026. It is one of the most exciting new music events in Poland – combining world-class artists, unique spaces and a modern take on classical music.
The first edition of the festival, held in 2025 at the Museum of the Interior in Otwock Wielki, attracted more than 5,000 people, gaining enthusiastic feedback from audiences and the media. The event became one of the most talked-about festival debuts in the country, opening classical music to new audiences and redefining the way it is presented.
Break in Classic 2026 – new chapter, same idea
The second edition of the festival, whose Artistic Directors invariably remain Jakub Józef Orlinski and Aleksander Dębicz, will continue its mission of breaking patterns and combining tradition with modernity. Break in Classic remains a space where classical music meets fresh formats, contemporary aesthetics and unobvious artistic associations – surrounded by nature and the unique architecture of the historic complex at the Interior Museum in Otwock Wielki, a branch of the National Museum in Warsaw.

The programme will include concerts by outstanding soloists and ensembles from home and abroad, some performing in Poland for the first time.
The first announced artists of the 2026 edition are:
Lyyra – A New York-based vocal ensemble that is among the most intriguing young groups on the American music scene today. “A crystalline, bold sound that is at once rooted in tradition and surprisingly new,” reads The New York Times.
Manchester Collective & Fergus McCreadie Trio – Manchester Collective has been one of Europe’s most visionary chamber ensembles for years. They are a group that expands the boundaries of classical music with exceptional consistency, infusing it with the intensity of contemporary culture, performance art and new sounds. On the other side of this encounter stands the Fergus McCreadie Trio, one of the most fascinating ensembles on the British jazz scene. Pianist Fergus McCreadie – winner of the Scottish Album of the Year among others– is renowned for his unique style combining contemporary jazz, Scottish folk music and natural, organic improvisation.
The festival will also feature a stage release from artistic directors. Jakub Józef Orlinski and Aleksander Dębicz will be performing twice in different shows. More information about the programme will be available soon.
