Lalou at Browary Warszawskie is a fresh take on a well-known wine concept. The place, which originally functioned as a specialist wine shop and tasting space, has been transformed into a fully-fledged wine bar with an extensive food and beverage offer. Norbert Dudzinski – one of Poland’s most respected sommeliers – is behind the project. The transformation was aimed at opening up to a wider audience, offering not only excellent wines but also speciality coffee and a full menu.
Interior with character – elegance and contrast
The metamorphosis of Lalou in Browary Warszawskie involved not only the mode of operation, but above all the space itself. Two experienced architects, Agnieszka Kossowska and Justyna Fabirkiewicz, are responsible for the interior design. Their joint vision resulted in the creation of an interior that harmoniously combines functionality with aesthetics.
The main motif of the project is contrasts – both in terms of colours and materials. Shiny steel, intensely coloured stones, black flooring and dark wood were juxtaposed with classic bookcases and noble accessories. The interior features iconic design elements, such as Danish BA113 chairs by Johannes Andersen, Italian Bauhaus seating by Marta Stama, lamps by Gubi, a Georg Jensen cooler, Portuguese Vista Alegre porcelain and ceramics by Polish artists Anna Barczentewicz, Justyna Kosmalska (Lumo) and Katarzyna Szczepańska (Pure Clay).

Largest wine selection in Poland
The change in format involved an expansion of the offer. Lalou now offers the most extensive wine selection in Poland, with an emphasis on exclusive labels from Burgundy and Champagne. The wines available on site are not only classics, but also rare gems that are difficult to find elsewhere in the country.
Lalou in Browary Warszawskie – a new quality of meetings
The new interior and catering offer make Lalou in Browary Warszawskie a meeting place not only for wine connoisseurs, but also for lovers of design, culture and art. The intimate atmosphere and sophisticated interior encourage people to spend time in good company – whether over a glass of wine, a delicious coffee or a meal.
A space with soul and history
Today, Lalou is more than just a wine bar – it is a fully-fledged, thoughtful space that tells a story through architecture, taste and art. Thanks to bold design decisions and attention to detail, the venue has gained a unique character without losing its original identity.
