Fifteen years after its founding, Les Deux returns to the place where it all began. For the Autumn–Winter 2026 season, the Danish brand has created a collection photographed in Copenhagen – a city that has remained an integral part of its identity from the very beginning. This time, classic Scandinavian minimalism meets sporty elegance, preppy influences and the laid-back vibe characteristic of 1990s European style.
Les Deux was founded in Copenhagen in 2011. The brand’s story began with a meeting between two people with completely different backgrounds – one associated with classic, preppy style, the other with urban culture. The starting point was a simple white T-shirt adorned with hand-sewn military emblems. From this small project emerged a brand whose aesthetic, from the very beginning, was based on bringing together seemingly distant worlds.
Sport, preppy style and European nonchalance
The Autumn Winter 2026 collection builds on this contrast, which is characteristic of Les Deux. The brand juxtaposes sporty silhouettes with more formal garments, combining them in a way that avoids excessive literalism.
Wool blazers appear alongside hoodies, technical jackets are paired with ties, and suit trousers with knits inspired by football shirts. Denim takes on a more pronounced texture, whilst classic garments remain deliberately slightly relaxed and ‘unpolished’.
It is precisely this balance that is one of the most interesting aspects of the collection. Les Deux does not attempt to choose between elegance and sport. Instead, it treats them as two equal elements of the contemporary wardrobe.
Copenhagen as part of the collection
The Autumn/Winter 2026 shoot took place in Copenhagen. The return to the city to mark the brand’s fifteenth anniversary is no coincidence – from the very beginning, Les Deux has built its identity around the idea of bringing together different milieus and styles, and Copenhagen remains a point of reference for its activities.
In the campaign, the urban scenery becomes a natural backdrop for the collection. The garments fit seamlessly into the city’s daily rhythm – from sport and work to social gatherings and a night out. This approach also reflects the ethos of the collection itself, which is designed so that individual pieces can be freely mixed and matched and worn throughout the day.
A fresh take on the classics
Among the season’s key pieces are, amongst others, a shell coat, woollen suits, striped and gradient-patterned knits, football-inspired T-shirts, a varsity jacket made entirely of leather, and seersucker outfits.
A great deal of attention was also paid to knitwear. Les Deux is expanding this category, using brushed wool, classic cotton and retro-inspired gradients. The collection also features a denim ensemble with a jacquard texture and classic herringbone coats.
The colour palette remains subdued but not monotonous. Deep green, burgundy and navy are complemented by ivory, black and neutral shades. This allows the more striking pieces in the collection to sit alongside classic basics.
Fifteen years of Les Deux
The anniversary collection is therefore more than just a seasonal offering. Les Deux returns to its roots, but does not attempt to recreate them literally. Instead, it draws on the brand’s signature blend of preppy, sporty, urban and classic tailoring, translating it into a contemporary wardrobe.
Fifteen years on, the starting point remains the same: pairing items that, at first glance, shouldn’t go together. In AW26, sports knitwear may be paired with suit trousers, a technical jacket with a tie, and a classic coat with elements drawn from the world of football. It is precisely in these contrasts that Les Deux finds its distinctive language.
