Light switches and sockets can be pretty. Here are examples

Some are colourful, others elegant. What they have in common is a playful and original form. Light switches and socket outlets from Bright Little Things were designed by Kitty van Riet. This is the answer to those who want to choose an original solution instead of standard switches.

Every interior designer knows how important the right light switches and sockets are. It is a small and often expensive element, but it influences the look of the design and shows attention to detail. The ones described here are an example of fresh design with a touch of humour.

Innovative features of Bright Little Things include original socket finishes and the ability to combine them with flush-mounted systems from brands such as Gira, Jung and Merten, among others. The collection is made entirely of durable material. The plane is decorated with small buttons and crosses, which provide a playful element.

According to designer and architect Kitty van Riet, light switches and sockets are often overlooked when designing interiors. Developers usually opt for standard solutions, yet these elements are found everywhere in every room of the building and are often at eye level. Responding to customer demand, the designer filled the gap. Currently, the shops are dominated by plastic elements in dull colours or imitating a retro style. The BLT collection offers a fresh alternative and stands out with its modern, minimalist design.

The single switch offers various functions including rotary dimming. The switch can be replaced without changing the main plate. In addition to models with coloured elements, there are also those that imitate natural stone patterns.

The coloured switches and sockets are produced in a factory near Amsterdam. The plates and buttons are created by CNC milling.
