Los Lodos ice cream parlour in Lubin with a sweet new interior

Los Lodos ice cream parlour is located on 1 Maja Street in Lublin. The place has recently undergone a metamorphosis. The interior was designed by Emilia Szczudło of E.Space Studio.

The premises are 72 square metres. After the changes, the interior resembles a sweet, ice-cream dessert. There were many changes. The ice cream parlour not only got a new décor, but rebuilt halls, façade and large shop windows.

The design inspiration for the owners of the ice cream parlour was the previous premises also designed by Emilia Szczudło. The theme was to be ice cream, of course, but also bubble tea and waffles.

So the idea was to bathe the interior in dripping chocolate and create an ice cream parlour straight out of the film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” explains the designer.

The interior features huge peas on the ceiling in powder pink. This element was combined with a mesmerising floor that seems to transport one into a fairy-tale world.

The hall, by which the premises have been enlarged, also has an original look. It is entered through an arch-shaped opening illuminated by neon light. There you will find even more ‘chocolate’ dripping from the ceiling onto the bright velour sofas. The backs of the sofas are designed to resemble sponge cakes, while the seats are designed to resemble biscuits. Spheres resembling sprinkles on whipped cream have been placed on the ceiling.

Willy Wonka would certainly enjoy a cup of tea here in the company of Alice in Wonderland, as the large mirrors in the form of huge hemispheres protruding from the wall leave one wondering what is hiding on the other side, he adds.

In the central area, round tables have been placed with a base that alludes to cream tubes. Also brand new are the bathrooms, which have been adapted for people with disabilities. An interesting feature is the baby changing table, which is like a marshmallow.

At the heart of the premises is the ice cream counter, which also has a rounded shape. The counter is decorated with chocolate-coloured stucco. Neon signs in pastel colours complete the design.
