The uniforms of LOT Polish Airlines flight and ground staff will change with new accessories. The national carrier has announced that it has collaborated with the brand LANCERTO on their design. A design using the mallow motif was created, which refers to the work of artists from the Young Poland period.
LOT Polish Airlines is increasing its route network and buying new aircraft. Investment also extends to staff uniforms. Staff will soon receive new scarves and pillowcases with a mallow motif. The flower is meant to be an expression of Polishness and evoke a sunny summer afternoon away from the city.
Tranquillity, elegance and harmony. It is precisely such landscapes of Poland that are treasured the world over, and thanks to LOT Polish Airlines, they will also be promoted on the carrier’s welcoming flights,” reads LOT Polish Airlines’ communiqué.
The floral motif is also a reference to the art of the artists of Young Poland. Works with flowers can be found in the paintings of Stanisław Wyspiański, Olga Boznańska and Józef Mehoffer.
Every day, our crews reach over 100 airports around the world, taking care of the safety and comfort of LOT passengers. We want the mallow, a flower associated with Polish art, to become the new hallmark of our hospitality and professionalism,” says Izabela Leszczyńska, Director of Product Development and Customer Experience.
In addition to the scarves, pillowcases and ties were also created for the male staff. All are maintained in a consistent aesthetic. Navy blue, red and white accents dominate. The accessories also feature the symbol of the crane, which has accompanied the company for more than 95 years. The motif was designed by Tadeusz Lucjan Gronowski and is intended to symbolise good luck and longevity.
Stewardesses will receive white scarves with red mallows and navy blue trim. Female flight attendants will receive white scarves with a navy blue background with red flowers and red piping. Ground staff will receive white scarves in red flowers with red edging. The men’s staff pillowcases have analogous designs. The flight attendants’ navy blue ties will be decorated with a print of small red cranes, while the deck chiefs’ ties will be red with a print of navy blue cranes. The gentlemen ground staff will wear red ties with a single crane symbol.
