The beauty of Mediterranean stones can make its way into interiors. The Cosentino brand presents a new collection of designs, which are a continuation of the Pietra Kode collection. Their styles and textures are reminiscent of nature and allow you to give spaces or entire buildings a unique character.
Cosentino, a world leader in the production and distribution of sustainable surfaces for architecture and design, presented on 9 July in Cantoria, Spain, the new innovative Dekton® Pietra Edition collection, inspired by the iconic Mediterranean stones. The collection is a continuation of the Dekton® Pietra Kode collection created by design visionary and architect Daniel Germani, which was launched in 2023 and was a market success.
The ultra-compact Dekton® in shades from the Pietra Edition collection reproduces the beauty and details of traditional stones such as travertine, sandstone, Ceppo di Gré and Campaspero, providing exceptional realism in the reflection of the pattern and unparalleled durability. All this to meet the demands of contemporary architecture and the ambitions of interior designers. “Pietra Edition is the continuation of our journey to the origins of timeless Mediterranean architecture that we started with Pietra Kode,” said Daniel Germani. “I am proud to continue working with Cosentino to offer designers, architects and homeowners Pietra Edition surfaces that are modern but also timeless.”
Thanks to the innovative TSP Dekton® technology, the Dekton® Pietra Edition collection is carbon neutral and introduces the latest technology to natural stone. The six subdued designs bring warmth and modern elegance to any project, whether interior or exterior. The collection pays homage to the timeless elegance of Mediterranean natural stones while enhancing their design, functionality and sensory perception, creating spaces full of light, modernity and simplicity.
The Pietra Edition palette references six styles, encompassing four different stone textures, including the all-new Piasentina and Campaspero:
Trevi , inspired by the classic beauty of silver-toned Roman travertine, features a cream base that is punctuated by a pattern of parallel, irregular veins in shades of grey and blue.
Nebu recreates the depth of Roman travertine and its natural irregularity brings a unique, timeless style to any space.
Adia is a building block with a silky and delicate appearance. Its creamy shade and white contrasting lines make any project extraordinary.
Ava inspired by Ceppo di Gré, an original stone from Lombardy, distinguished by its rough surface. Here a warmer shade, not found in nature, is used, ideal for Mediterranean-style projects.
Polar captures the unique irregularities of the Spanish Campaspero stone, reinterpreting them into a unique, hyper-realistic pattern. It combines an irregular base in shades of beige with grey and cream veining and small inclusions and fossils.
Sandik is the traditional elegance of Campaspero stone in a more subtle finish. The creamy background with a delicate haze of grey tones is perfect for outdoor applications.
