Its interior was designed by Ewa Dyda-Nowakowska. In Łomianki near Warsaw, there is a flat that fully meets the needs of a mature single looking for a space that is comfortable, convenient and as maintenance-free as possible. The interior design of 55 sq m was conceived to reflect the owner’s lifestyle, passions and love of elegance in a minimalist edition.
The design was inspired by a muted colour palette – cashmere beige set against the contrast of glazed white quartzite and dark grey slate. An important point of reference was the structural paintings by Magdalena Głodek, which introduced a hint of art and texture to the interior. The design premise was to combine purity of form with functional solutions that guarantee everyday comfort.
The materials were chosen with consistency and care. The dark floorboard, the light stone worktop of the kitchen island and the laths that give character to the walls form a base, which is complemented by Italian tiles, IWC upholstered furniture and carefully selected details. As a result, the whole is balanced and harmonious.
The focal point of the flat became the open living area. An unusual solution was to dispense with a traditional table – its role was taken over by a kitchen island, which serves both as a work surface and a meeting place for meals. The character of this space is emphasised by accessories: a graphic blanket and bright Comforty cushions, a striped cushion from NAP, a bowl from H&M and minimalist HAY candles. Vases from Zara Home are set against the TV, adding a light touch to the composition. The dining room is dominated by details in natural tones – beige bowls from BoConcept, a black bowl from Zara Home and glass vases from NAP and HAY.

The bathroom is kept in the spirit of simplicity, but elegance is given by the details. The most distinctive room remains the dressing room, reminiscent of a boutique and displaying the owner’s passion for fashion. It is a space that not only has a utilitarian function, but also builds the identity of the entire flat.
The bedroom has been designed to foster relaxation while emphasising the owner’s individual character. Patterned cushions and a clock from NAP, a stone bedspread, vases from BoConcept and a black Comforty lamp inspired by Flos design create a welcoming atmosphere, which is tied together by a painting by Eva Jablonsky – it brings artistic energy and gives the arrangement fullness.
The project was carried out under time pressure and within a strict budget. The finishing crew, unaccustomed to working with a designer, required constant supervision to ensure that every detail was executed as intended. Despite the difficulties, the result was achieved – an elegant, coherent and comfortable space.
