The TRAMA furniture collection was created for Monde Singulier, a platform offering sophisticated design. The collection was designed by Parisian designers Haddou-Dufourcq. TRAMA is a series of furniture with a common theme of symmetrical holes arranged in the shape of a grid.
In a design world where every detail matters, collections are created that combine both traditional craftsmanship and modern aesthetics. One such unique project is the TRAMA furniture collection, created by the Haddou-Dufourcq duo. This collection is not just functional objects, but true works of art that tell a story about the contrast between form and space, light and shadow, and tradition and modernity.
The TRAMA collection is based on the idea that the material itself becomes a language. Each piece in the collection expresses a subtle duality, where fullness meets emptiness and furniture frames are transformed into a fascinating play of light and shadow. In these designs, geometric lines meet classical curves, creating a dialogue between minimalism and rich ornamentation, tradition and modernity. It is this complexity that gives TRAMA furniture its unique character – furniture that is both perfectly constructed and full of poetic expression.
The TRAMA collection is not just a demonstration of technical craftsmanship. It is first and foremost a story in which architectural precision harmonises with narrative eloquence. Each piece of furniture in the series seems to tell a story – a story of balancing form and function, where every detail has its own significance and the whole becomes a harmonious tale of contemporary design.
This collection is a perfect example of how contemporary design can combine tradition and modernity to create objects of timeless value. The designers have presented furniture that not only decorates a space, but also inspires new interpretations of aesthetics and functionality.
Kim Haddou and Florent Dufourcq are graduates of the prestigious École Camondo, having already graduated with top honours in 2015. Currently living and working in Paris, they combine different spaces – public, private and furniture – in their work, which stands out for its original approach to design.
