The building was created using solid wood. The modular DA House in Zlotow was designed by Dom Architektów. The building is based on passive technology and the mobile foundations mean that it can be transported to other locations.
Modular houses have so far been associated with compact sizes, the occupants of which have had to consider compromises. Instead of a large, spacious living room, they were limited to a small living area with a kitchenette. This time is different. The modular DA House in Zlotow gives a sense of space and comfort and, on top of that, looks good.
The house was built using natural, recyclable materials. It also features high energy efficiency and saves water.
The individual elements were created in the joinery workshop on the basis of the solid wood module technology developed by the architects, which involves the prefabrication of the building in the form of 3D wooden modules. Instead of steel, wood and wood-based materials are used for the load-bearing structure, without the use of vapour-proof foil.
The house can be transported anywhere in the world. So after years, the original location can be changed and the building can be enjoyed in a completely different environment.
The house is a single-storey building whose internal layout can be modified. The building has a two-car garage. Its largest area is occupied by the living area, which consists of a living room combined with a kitchenette and a dining area. Importantly, this part is heavily glazed and frames views of the greenery, so it is extremely important to position the building in such a way as to guarantee attractive views.
The example house in the photos still has a study that can be turned into a guest room. A large private area has been created on the left-hand side. The bedroom is connected to the dressing room and provides access to the terrace. Access to the bathroom is possible from two sides – from the bedroom and the hallway.
