MICHEL&AMAZONKA was founded in 2015 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia by sisters Michel Choigaalaa and Amazon Choigaala. After a fashion show together, the duo decided to officially register their company and brand and combine their efforts in creating fashionable womenswear that is distinctive to Mongolia. In 2015, they started their business in a 40 m2 workshop and opened their first shop in the Avenue of Peace in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar. In 2022, they designed outfits for the Beijing Winter Olympics. The brand produces clothes that combine European style with hand-stitched ethnic embroidery and embellishments. The company is thriving and today employs 24 designers, has a 621 m2 factory, a 200 m2 warehouse and 3 shops in the heart of the capital.
