More than 1.3 million people visited the Polish Pavilion at Expo 2025 Summary

Modern and open, Poland presented itself at Expo 2025 in Osaka as a creative and innovative country, attracting more than 1.3 million visitors to its pavilion. The exhibition provided an opportunity to showcase Poland’s unique combination of technology, culture and hospitality, while strengthening Poland’s position as an economic partner in the Asia-Pacific region.

From 13 April to 13 October 2025, the Poland Pavilion was visited by more than 1.3 million people. The success was driven by a variety of programmes – economic, scientific and cultural – as well as projects inspired by the work of Frederic Chopin. The outstanding exhibition was recognised by the Bureau of World Exhibitions, which awarded Poland the BIE Gold Award in the medium-sized pavilion category (1,750-2,500 sq m).

The World Expo 2025 was an opportunity to promote Poland internationally, as well as a space for building relationships and sharing experiences. In a world that is changing at a rapid pace, we showed Poland as a country open to the future and international cooperation, successfully combining tradition and modernity. I am convinced that our presence in Osaka will contribute to the establishment of long-term partnerships and strengthen Poland’s position as an important player on the global economic and cultural scene,’ emphasises Jacek Tomczak, Commissioner General of the Polish Section of the World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.

Poland’s presence at Expo 2025 coincided with our country’s presidency of the Council of the European Union, which further raised the profile of the events organised by the Polish Pavilion.

The Expo World Exhibition team achieved the ambitious goal of presenting Poland internationally as a country that is modern, innovative and open to investment, yet deeply rooted in tradition and respect for nature. The Poland Pavilion presented hundreds of exhibitions and special events, regional, cultural and scientific programmes and concerts featuring the biggest names of the Polish music scene. All of them highlighted Poland’s diversity – its dynamic face, rich heritage and creative potential,” concludes Michał Jaros, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Development and Technology.

More than 500 cultural events were held in the Polish Pavilion at Expo Osaka. Audiences were attracted by concerts inspired by the works of Chopin, jazz performances, as well as presentations of art and design – elements which gave the Polish presence a unique character. At the same time, great importance was attached to the business programme, one of the most extensive and intensive in the history of Poland’s participation in World Exhibitions. Its task was not only to showcase the potential of domestic companies and institutions, but above all to build lasting relationships with partners from Japan and the entire Asia-Pacific region.

Expo 2025 is a turning point in building lasting economic relations for Poland not only with Japan, but with the entire Asia-Pacific region and participants from around the world. Hundreds of meetings, forums and B2B talks have produced concrete results – signed contracts, letters of intent and investment plans that will be developed over the months following the Expo – emphasises Łukasz Gwiazdowski, Vice President of the Board of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.

The architectural concept and original exhibition in the Pavilion resulted in Poland being awarded three prestigious distinctions, including the BIE Gold Award for the best medium-sized pavilion display.

Thanks to the joint commitment, Poland presented itself at Expo 2025 as a modern, dynamically developing country, ready for cooperation and dialogue with the whole world. The highest award for the Polish Pavilion, more than one million visitors and the success of two economic forums and dozens of business meetings confirm that the work has been done with the utmost care and at a world-class level,’ says Magdalena Skarżyńska, Vice President of the Board of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.

The participation of Polish companies and institutions in Expo 2025 has opened up real opportunities to establish new trade relations with partners in Japan. The professional presentation of innovative technologies, modern products and specialised services allowed companies not only to present their potential, but also to strengthen their position on the demanding Japanese market. This resulted in numerous business agreements, the development of a distribution network and a growing interest in exporting Polish goods – from food and cosmetics to industrial technologies and IT solutions. As a result, the presence of Polish companies in Asia was significantly strengthened, and Japan began to be seen as one of the key destinations for Polish trade and investment.
