A place that combines industrial history with a modern design sensibility has appeared on the map of Poznań. Neobistro Łyk, opened in 2025 at 58 Garbary Street, occupies 130 sq m of space whose character has been consciously preserved and emphasised. The project was prepared by UTLT studio in collaboration with studio.danielak, and the entire project was documented in photographs by Migdał Studio.
The interior was created out of respect for the existing context. The raw brick, century-old steel structural elements and concrete floor became the foundation on which the new narrative was built. Instead of masking the industrial heritage, the designers decided to bring it out and complement it with contemporary touches. The new elements blend into the existing fabric, creating a coherent, timeless whole. This has given the space, despite its industrial origins, a cosy and unforced atmosphere.
The focal point of the premises is the bar, with its built-in cabinetry and wall cladding created under the UTLT brand. This is an example of the harmonious combination of design workshop and craftsmanship. Local artists – graphic designer and painter Olga Mularczyk and sculptor Aleksander Kienitz – also participated in the realisation, giving the interior its individual character. A special touch is the author’s lamp above the bar, designed and made by Dérive Studio, which emphasises the role of light in creating a mood.

Sip is the venture of three young partners who are passionate about coffee and gastronomy. Their ambition was to create a place that is authentic, qualitative and free from over-stylization. The result is a collaboration between a young generation of Polish designers and craftsmen, who prove that a contemporary interior can be both honest to history and open to new experiences.
