Neso lamp. A manifesto of modern design from Nodi Studio

The Neso floor lamp is a new project by the Polish studio Nodi Studio. The designer object was presented during Milan Design Week as part of the ‘Elevating Objects’ exhibition organised by Deoron. The exhibition presented everyday objects in the designers’ original interpretations. Nodi Studio presented the Neso floor lamp, an expressive combination of classic craftsmanship and contemporary urban expression.

The new Neso lamp is more than just a light source – it is a real statement piece that catches the eye with its remarkable design. Inspired by classic materials such as porcelain and a Brutalist aesthetic, the lamp is distinguished by its sculptural form, edgy, soft lines and an unobvious spray finish reminiscent of graffiti. This contrast between the delicacy of traditional craftsmanship and the rawness of modern expression makes Neso a unique carrier of emotion, transforming a space into a place full of original ambience.

The premiere of the Neso lamp already took place in early 2025 as part of Poland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The presentation at Milan Design Week marked Nodi Studio’s second debut in the same year, consolidating the studio’s position on the global design scene. The Elevating Objects exhibition not only allowed the studio to reach a wide international audience, but also confirmed that light in modern design can be both functional and full of artistic expression.

The designer and founder of Nodi Studio, Ania Marciniszyn, perfectly explains the philosophy behind the Neso lamp: ‘I wanted to combine the classic material of porcelain with the rawness of contemporary expression. This meeting of soft forms and brutalist expression shows how diverse Nodi objects can be – not only colourful and light, but also more expressive, strong in message.”

This approach emphasises that a lamp is not just a utilitarian accessory, but also a work of art that inspires and stimulates the imagination. Neso shows that design can become a vehicle for emotion and creativity, turning everyday objects into expressive artistic manifestos.
