Architect at Work will take place in Warsaw on 28-29 May. This industry event for architects and interior designers offers the opportunity to make direct contact with manufacturers of solutions for homes. An interesting highlight will be the products of Italian brand QuadroDesign, which will present its new Super collection.
QuadroDesign is a brand that needs no introduction. The family-owned Italian company has been in business for several generations, supplying the market with modern faucets for homes, flats and offices. The brand is distinguished by its original design, which combines the latest technological solutions with a minimalist form. At QuadroDesign, they know that the products they create have to serve a specific purpose and it is functionality that is paramount.
A new collection in the QuadroDesign range is Super. The series was designed by Calvi Brambilla. The designer has perfectly captured the DNA of the brand, creating a timeless collection that will be on show in Warsaw.
The design of the Super collection is based on a squircle shape. It is a shape that combines the softness of a circle and the severity of a square. This motif can be seen in the faucets designed in the form of slight curves. The shape is not only intriguing, but also provides the best ergonomics, a comfortable grip. This form offers a larger support surface for the hand than round solutions. This project, although seemingly simple, involved challenges due to the technical constraints of machining top-quality stainless steel (AISI316L), which required careful analysis of material barriers and thoughtful implementation of details.
Another intriguing novelty is the Hum collection. Its design was prepared by Philippe Malouin, who aimed to achieve the simplest aesthetics while maintaining a sculptural touch. He created Hum as a functional, minimalist sculpture that accompanies people every day. The collection was first presented at Milan Design Week. Hum’s collection was inspired by a simple gesture – holding a cylindrical piece of stainless steel in his hand, which he decided to gently bend. Reducing the form to the necessary elements, Malouin introduced a single, streamlined curve that has become the hallmark of the entire series.
The Hum collection accentuates the natural properties of steel, its strength, timelessness and pristine purity. In the collection you will not find unnecessary ornamentation. What counts is pure and beautiful functionality. The Hum collection is not only a series of modern faucets for wash basins or showers. It is a full range of products including under-counter, wall-mounted and free-standing models, including both progressive systems and traditional solutions. The individual elements are made from top-grade stainless steel (AISI316L).
A selection of new products from QuadroDesign will be on display on 28 and 29 May at Architect at Work in Warsaw. The event will take place in the EXPO XXI hall at 12/14 Ignacego Prądzyńskiego Street.
