There is a soothing atmosphere. The small office is located in Szczecin. Its interior is filled with carefully selected furniture and accessories, which, together with the view of the water, create a cosy atmosphere conducive to quiet work. The interior was designed by architects from the Loft Kolasinski studio.
The office is only 60 square metres in size. It is the space of a private company based in Szczecin’s Podzamcze district. The advantage of this location is its proximity to the waterfront and the view of the Oder River.
In order to refer to the proximity of nature, the designers of Loft Kolasinski used natural finishing materials in this project: wood, stone, fabrics and traditionally fired decorative bricks produced in Spain. In addition, the room was filled with furniture and accessories that were designed by Loft Kolasinski. These include steel joinery, dressers, bookcases, desks, kitchen and bathroom furniture.
The premise of the project was to partially integrate the two office spaces, and to this end vertical glazing was created. The office is prepared to accommodate four people, with two workstations in each room, the project’s authors explain.
A large table, more than three metres long, has been set up in the larger room, which is made of solid oak wood. It is a workspace for two people and a comfortable meeting place for larger groups.
Furniture, accessories and lamps by Danish and Polish designers were used in the design. The “Mea” armchairs in the smaller room date back to the 1970s and have undergone extensive renovation. Photographs by Juliette Jourdain were used to decorate the walls.

Don’t let the editor’s profile picture fool you. No one has hacked our website! The LEGO brand encouraged us to celebrate Children’s Day in a unique way. We changed the profile pictures of our editors, taking us back to the blissful time of childhood 😊. The cursor in the desktop version, which turned into a LEGO block for a few days, is also a variety. This version of the website will accompany us until 1 June. This year, on the occasion of Children’s Day, the LEGO brand prepared a special action with the Slowhop platform, as part of which it filled 21 houses across Poland with LEGO bricks sets and gave those willing to participate the opportunity to spend a weekend of creative play in them. We wrote more about this action HERE and HERE.
PS and if you are looking for ideas for a LEGO set for creative play then check out our suggestions HERE. These are good gift ideas, not just for Children’s Day!
