Its interior was designed by architects from the estimental studio. The flat has 120 sq m and is located in a building in Warsaw’s Mokotów district. The advantage of the interior is what can be seen outside the window – it offers views of the capital’s skyline and the green roofs of neighbouring office buildings.
Ewelina Gurczyńska of estimental was responsible for the interior design. In order to adapt the space to the needs of the residents, she proposed a radical change to the functional layout. As a result, it was possible to enlarge the living area.
I wanted to create interiors that are not only representative, but also cosy and conducive to everyday family life,” says the architect.
Her vision was achieved by using natural materials such as oak veneer, rattan, linen, cotton and stone elements. Taken together, they give the interior a warm and elegant feel. The flat was also intended to be convenient to use, so a hidden pantry and two refrigerators were built in the kitchen area, which were masked with oak veneer and lacquered fronts. An interesting feature is the Grohe three-way faucet, which filters, cools and gasses the water.
The hotel-like character of the space has been achieved in the living room and dining area. A large sofa forms a kind of island around which the other furnishings are arranged. It is a place created for relaxation and gatherings with loved ones.
The coherent aesthetic of the Mokotów flat can also be seen in the master bedroom, which has become a real oasis of calm. Thanks to the materials chosen, such as wood and natural fabrics, the interior exudes harmony and promotes relaxation. The owners’ bathroom was designed as their private space. In the foreground, you can see a washbasin with a veneered, carved cabinet, and in the depths – a spacious shower illuminated by a subtle led light.
A different atmosphere prevails in the children’s bathroom. The room is adorned with green tiles, which harmonise with the custom-made estimental cabinets and the Omnires nickel-coloured concealed fittings.
