Pluto Burger House in Wrocław. The architects took care of every detail

Following the success of its operations in temporary, open-air locations, the PLUTO burger house has found its permanent place on the culinary map of Wrocław. The monoconcept inspired by American smashbars combines raw simplicity with attention to detail. The interior of the premises reflects the brand’s philosophy: a minimalist form intertwines with a wealth of details, as in a perfectly prepared burger, where simplicity conceals the depth of flavour.

To design the interior of the premises, the investors invited architects from the studio Znamy się. The result? A visually attractive place, which surprises with its solutions and details. The inspiration for PLUTO’s interior design was taken from the smash frying process, where a metal press increases the contact surface between the meat and the plate, intensifying the Maillard reaction. In the premises, warm caramel tones are reminiscent of the browning effect, while metallic accents allude to kitchen tools. The wavy lines placed on the walls and ceiling symbolise the increased contact surface, emphasising that the simplicity of the design can give rise to a highly expressive taste experience.

The uniqueness of smash burgers lies in their juiciness and expressiveness – and it is these qualities that we transfer to the interior, the architects explain.

The essence of space

The focal point is the open fry-up, set in an austere metal structure reminiscent of an urban booth. A long counter with a three-tier top and leather hockers create a meeting area where guests can watch a live culinary performance. The floor in shades of beige, caramel and burnt clay is reminiscent of a crispy burger patty, while irregular foxgloves with an oily sheen symbolise the escaping essence of flavours. The whole is tied together by a pulsating line in Pluto blue, which, like an aromatic vapour, spills throughout the space, linking all the elements into a common narrative.

Details matter

PLUTO’s interior design has not lacked carefully selected decorative elements to enhance the character of the space. Ceramic tiles from Fioranese introduce subtle texture and depth, referencing the natural materials and earthy tones of the décor. Colourful elements from Nodi Studio add lightness and a modern twist to the space, breaking up the austerity of the industrial forms. Lighting from Chors – precisely positioned and matched to the functions of the various zones – builds the atmosphere, emphasising both the culinary spectacle and the intimacy of meetings at the counter. Each of these elements has been chosen with harmony and coherence in mind, creating an interior that works on all the senses.

Simple, but with heart

PLUTO’s interior design is a manifesto of passion for the craft of smash burgers – palpable not only in every bite, but also in every detail. Carefully selected materials, a distinctive but balanced colour palette and a coherent concept for the space transport guests into the world of primordial American bar flavours. On the culinary map of Wrocław, PLUTO stands out thanks to the power of simplicity, staying in the memory not because of the glamour of additions, but because of the authentic experience that hides in every part of this place.
