Polish studio among the best in the world. This is how Mistovia designs

Led by Marcin Czopek, the Katowice-based Mistovia studio has won the title of young interior architect 2024 in the Dezeen Awards 2024 competition organised by Dezeen.com.

Katowice-based studio Mistovia beat dozens of other architectural offices from around the world. The competition awarded prizes in 50 categories and the winners were decided by a jury of 90 people involved in design and architecture. Among those awarded were the authors of the best single-family, public space, cultural or utilitarian projects.

The award in the Emerging Interior Designer 2024 category went to the Polish studio Mistovia, whose projects have been featured many times on whiteMAD.pl or in whiteMAD magazine.

The studio’s founder is Marcin Czopek, an architecture graduate from the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. The architect graduated in 2017 and started working in the profession, initially at the Brokat design office and later founded his own studio, Mistovia. The office’s designs show a bold combination of different aesthetics. Modern design mixes with vintage furniture, while eclectic accessories stand out against muted backgrounds. At the same time, the rendered designs are fully functional.

This was seen by the competition jury who, in justifying the award, pointed out that Mistovia “uses space as the main material and creates eclectic home interiors that balance patterns, textures and colours with utility. (…) …The studio is consolidating its position as a residential specialist, with a flair for unusual combinations that never compromise practicality.”

Below, we have collected a few of the studio’s projects that reflect well the sense of aesthetics instilled in the bottoms of the Mistovia office. Congratulations on the award!
