The Samsung brand, official partner of Art Basel, announces the launch of an exclusive new digital art collection. Users of The Frame, The Frame Pro, Neo QLED, QLED and Micro LED TVs can now download a selection of works from this edition, as well as more than 3,500 works available to date, from the Samsung Art Store. The Art Basel collection includes 38 carefully selected works by established and emerging artists. The works were selected from more than a hundred submissions.
The collection stands out for its extraordinary diversity – it includes works from many countries, made in a variety of media and expressing different artistic perspectives. For the first time, works by African artists have been added to the set, further deepening the cultural value of the Samsung and Art Basel initiative. The selected works were on display at Art Basel at Messe Basel from 19-22 June.
The following works were honoured:
- Roméo Mivekannin, ‘Young woman with peonies according to Frédéric Bazille’ (2023) – a fascinating re-imagining of classical portraiture from a post-colonial perspective.
- Basim Magdy, ‘An intergalactic messenger teleported us to a cave settlement guided by principles of compassion and humility’ (2022) – a vibrant exploration of utopian futurism.
- Zandile Tshabalala, ‘Pink Bunches’ (2024) – an emotionally intense portrait celebrating black womanhood and nature.
- Antonia Kuo, ‘Willo’ (diptych, (2024) – a striking two-panel composition combining digital manipulation with analogue techniques.
The collection also included iconic artists: Jo Baer, Kibong Rhee and Lynn Hershman Leeson, adding visual and thematic depth to the entire set.
ArtCube – art and technology
In the heart of Messe Basel, Hall 1, Samsung launched ArtCube – an interactive zone where The Frame, MICRO LED and Neo QLED 8K were transformed into living art platforms. From the entrance through the impressive LED gate, created by digital reinterpretations of the Art Basel collection, to the large-format screens inside the pavilion, visitors were able to sink into the artistic narrative created on the walls with The Frame Pro, MICRO LED and Neo QLED 8K. The whole experience was complemented by an extraordinary depth effect – as if each attendee was crossing the border between the real world and the artwork. In addition, the interactive zone, supported by the Samsung Art Store, allowed people to grab a selfie processed in the style of the artist of their choice. Thanks to generative artificial intelligence, everyone was able to turn their photo into a unique work of art inspired by the work of the artists featured in the ArtCube, making the visit not just a viewing experience, but also a creative participation in the exhibition

ArtCube also hosted panel sessions with influencers from the contemporary scene. One of the highlights was a discussion with RM from BTS, who highlighted how technology can bring art closer to the audience and expand creative boundaries in the digital age.
The partnership between Samsung Electronics and Art Basel began in Miami Beach in 2024, continued in Hong Kong in 2025 and now presents the European edition in Basel. Works from the Hong Kong edition, launched in March, were among the top 10 most viewed collections globally, demonstrating the public’s growing appetite for digital art at the highest level.
Art within reach of the remote control – the development of the Samsung Art Store
With the new collection, users of 2025 TVs (Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED, QLED, The Frame and The Frame Pro) have access to more than 3,500 works from over 800 artists. The Samsung Art Store allows you to transform your screen into a personal gallery, accessible anytime and in perfect image and sound quality, supported by AI.
