She changed the face of an old flat. It is now full of energy

The new life of the old flat was taken care of by Kristina Busko. The property is located in Gandia, Spain, and its new arrangement was created for tourists who want to experience the country in a more authentic way than staying in the most popular places like the Costa Blanca.

The flat has not been renovated for many years. Typical furnishings, quite worn furniture… Almost all the furnishings had to be replaced. What has survived is the most valuable, including, among other things, the floor.

Architect Kristina Busko opted for intense colours. You can feel the positive energy and expressive Spanish soul in this space. In creating the interior composition, the designer was inspired by the set design from Almodovar’s films.

None of the colours used are random. These are colours that appear throughout Gandia. The yellows and oranges enter into dialogue with the cobalt. The secondary market flat has managed to preserve some valuable elements, such as the tile on the floor with the original pattern once produced in the region, says the designer.

This is how the flat looked BEFORE the makeover:

The plaster stucco and coffers on the ceilings are also from the previous arrangement, but now they have been given strong colours.

The interior is also decorated with art. There are prints by artist Zuzanna Skrętak. An artistic element is the column set in the bedroom. The designer admits that it was found in a dumpster. How do you rate the old flat in a completely new arrangement?
