A treat for designers and fans of high quality sound. The fifth edition of the Bang & Olufsen competition, a brand renowned for innovative design and top-quality audio technology, is being launched. Architects, interior designers, art students and interior design enthusiasts will be able to use their skills to design a living room with the brand’s products. The authors of the best designs can look forward to prizes.
The competition ‘Sound in Architecture. Architecture in Sound’ is a call to create a unique living room concept in which Bang & Olufsen products become an integral part of the space and not just an accessory. The brand encourages creative challenges and the discovery of new ways in which sound and architecture can coexist, creating not only interiors in harmony, but also aesthetic experiences at the highest level.
Creativity without borders – who is the competition aimed at?
Whether you are an experienced architect, a professional interior designer, an art student or a passionate arranger – this competition is for you. Bang & Olufsen wants the project to reveal not only technical skills but, above all, an artistic sensibility that combines the beauty of a space with excellent sound.
The lack of formal requirements means that every participant, regardless of their level of education, has an equal chance of winning. This is because the essence of the competition is not only technical precision, but also creativity and the ability to see the potential that lies in integrating modern technology into interiors with a unique character.
Rules of participation – how to enter?
Entry to the Bang & Olufsen competition is based on three main stages:
- Familiarising yourself with the competition materials. The competition website contains all the necessary resources, including downloads and rules and regulations. It is crucial to familiarise yourself thoroughly with the requirements and the timetable for the event so that you can prepare your work as expected.
- Create a 3D visualisation. You will need to prepare a visualisation in the form of a 3D graphic that shows your living room arrangement using selected Bang & Olufsen products. To be eligible for the Grand Prize, you must also include an architectural plan of the flator house in which the designed interior is located.
- Project submission. The finished work is submitted using a dedicated competition form, which is available on the website. Importantly, each participant can submit as many projects as he or she wishes, providing even more opportunities to showcase his or her talent. The deadline for submitting work is 7 January 2025 at23:59.
