The ‘Source of Power’ exhibition is underway at the Gallery of the Glass Heritage Centre in Krosno, featuring works by sculptor and designer Aleksandra Kujawska. The exhibition can be viewed until 9 September.
The exhibition is an attempt to show the inner strength that each of us has. Aleksandra Kujawska has prepared objects that seem to emanate power.
The source of power is within each of us. How we draw on it determines our lives as individuals, but it also affects the world around us. Being able to get in touch with ourselves, with our personal source of power – is crucial. Then we can create great and important things. To develop civilisation and spirituality. Drawing from the source of power, we are able to distinguish between good and evil. We have the power to create our reality and that of others: the common world of nature, people and animals. We are peace and attentiveness. And this is what I care most about,” says Aleksandra Kujawska.
Aleksandra Kujawska graduated from the State Secondary School of Fine Arts in Jelenia Góra-Cieplice in the class of glass sculptor Władysław Czyszczoń. At the University of Warsaw she defended her diploma at the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science. She also defended her master’s degree in the Department of Glass at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, then completed postgraduate studies at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław in the field of – Glass
glass in Architecture: Stained Glass specialisation. Subsequently, she completed her third degree studies: Interdepartmental Doctoral Studies at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław.
