Stucco and decorative wallpaper – these two features distinguish the latest interior by Dominika Strzałka-Rogal, founder of the Lessness studio. The flat is located in Wrocław and, despite its absolute urban character, the starting point for the concept turned out to be the context of nature, which is important for the clients. The owners of the flat were not afraid of unusual solutions, and this allowed the architects to let their imagination run wild. The result of the collaboration was a flat seeking its own interpretation of nature in the interior: seduced by the dreamy exoticism and warmth of colours of a poetic, decoratively devised world especially for this interior. Blues, oranges, buttery yellows, patterned textiles, coloured glass and custom-treated wallpaper make summer last all year round here.
Stucco and decorative wallpaper
The spacious living room and the corridor are separated by the imposed building structure. It is this in the design that dictates the rhythm of the decorative stucco gently undulating on the ceiling and structural elements, as well as the height of the designed interior doors. In all rooms, they maintain the increased height and milled proportion of the shapes replicated from the walls. In keeping with this idea, a wardrobe is inscribed in the hallway, the front of which is covered with Paradise of a Thousand Flowers, a French wallpaper by Pierre Frey printed on natural grass fibres, replicating an original 18th-century pattern from the decorative arts trend.
Blue, orange and buttery yellow
The blue kitchen open to the living room weaves additional lines into the furniture design: the curved island is raised on steel legs. Several pieces of furniture commissioned by the studio can be found in the rooms. Among them, the filigree openwork bookcase closing off the kitchen and the cabinet under the TV with a sculptural frame around the front catch the eye.

A bathroom with character according to Lessness
The next room is a bathroom filled with bright blues, shapes of small tiles, subtle terrazzo and decoratively milled fronts. A strong gesture for the interior is the use of a screen of intense orange tinted glass. In this small room, every detail is important and the pastel candy is harmoniously balanced.
An ornamental glass door leads into the bedroom, filtering the soft and warm light entering the hallway. The painterly wallpaper and the intense colour of the ceiling take us on a journey into a poetic world, where the reflections of the mirrors highlight a mixture of greens, accents of pink, blue, orange, against a background of broken white.
