At 4/2 Nowogrodzka Street in Warsaw there is a place where the functions of workshop, meeting space and creative asylum are skilfully combined. Studio 225 is distinguished by its atmosphere, where modern architectural solutions have been introduced with great respect for history. It is a project designed by Zosia Wyganowska, and its current owners, Julia Turewicz and Marta Teodorowska, have found here a space corresponding to their vision of work and development.
The studio is located in a flat that its creators previously knew only from a press release. When it became apparent that the premises were looking for new tenants, they decided to seize the opportunity. The historic townhouse offers a completely different atmosphere to typical conference rooms. It is an interior with character, where from the moment you enter you can feel the spirit of history combined with a contemporary lifestyle.
The design of the interior brings together preserved elements of old architecture juxtaposed with new accents. The walls were left in an “imperfect” state, which reveals successive layers of paint and plaster. The ceiling is decorated with original stucco and the floor is laid with a beautiful parquet floor in a decorative herringbone pattern. A tiled cooker has also been preserved in one of the rooms. All these elements emphasise the bourgeois pedigree of the building and add an atmosphere of historical authenticity to the interior.

The historic details of the flat were complemented with simple solutions. Minimalist light wood furnishings organise its space, while a large table with rattan chairs promotes communal gatherings. The focal point of the living room is a modular sofa by Living Divani. It is complemented by a steel table with a glass top that subtly exposes the parquet floor.
In the conceptual work area, a pink table with an interesting form attracts attention. Its colour and size symbolise a modern approach to femininity – expressive, decisive and functional. Colours are used very consciously here. Powder pink is juxtaposed with lavender and caramel tones, adding a postmodern touch to the interior.

Julia and Marta emphasise that most of the solutions were the work of the architect, and that their own decision was to add a table, which became the focal point of the team’s work. Studio 225 was designed to build a sense of security and homeliness, supporting the creative process and personal development.
Studio 225 and its mission
Studio 225 was established in 2023 by Julia Turewicz and Marta Teodorowska. The two owners combine business experience with a passion for supporting women. The space on Nowogrodzka Street hosts workshops, mentoring sessions and meetings led by experts in various fields. Participants can develop competencies in the areas of relationships, health, career, parenting and the arts, as well as seek a balance between private and professional life. The aim of the creators of the venue is to inspire women to discover themselves, realise their own plans and live life on their own terms.
