Suntago expanded with a new zone. This is what Crocodile Island looks like

The Suntago water park is the largest of its kind in Europe. Later in January, a brand new zone will open there. Crocodile Island is a place designed for children who, instead of with a smartphone in hand, can actively spend time with their parents enjoying the numerous attractions.

The Crocodile Island zone at Suntago will open on 20 January. The colourful space has been created as a place full of activities for the little ones. The new part of the Jamango space is a place for whole families, offering fun and interactive experiences.

In total, Crocodile Island covers an area of 1,200 square metres. Here, guests can feel like they are in a tropical paradise, full of secret places to explore. Four unique sections have been prepared for them: “Boat”, “Beach”, “Rainforest” and “Ruins . This form of active entertainment builds family bonds and allows parents and children to get away from the online world. The attractions prepared focus on creative play, movement and learning. Imagination can be stimulated by the zone’s design, which is inspired by Aztec ruins and nature known from the tropics. There are colourful murals, a giant boat and a sensory tree. Inspired by the mascots from the popular Suntago series – Jay, Meggi and Otto – the space awakens curiosity and encourages visitors to take part in the adventure.

Crocodile Island – a new zone in Suntago

Exploring the new space begins on the ship. It is an eight-tonne “Boat” that you can enter. On the captain’s bridge, you can take on the role of helmsman and steer the boat at an interactive station. Another part is the ‘Beach’. Modern visuals mimic the sea waves, which you can jump over and discover emerging shells. A highlight is the possibility to leave your feet in the sand. The beach was created with children under the age of five in mind.

We move deeper into the island, where the “Rainforest” awaits us. The site is distinguished by a sensory tree weighing six tonnes, which allows interaction through touch, smell and sound. Here, visitors can deepen their knowledge of tropical flora and fauna, and the bravest can… smell the durian, the world’s most stinky fruit. The next part, “Ruins” , is something for little explorers, history and game fans. It features dynamic games and races, including a race through the ruins and challenges on an obstacle course. This part allows for fun and healthy competition.

Crocodile Island in offline mode

The idea behind the creation of Crocodile Island is linked to the desire to enable children and parents to spend time actively. The new zone provides an opportunity for play, movement and learning which deepens family bonds and is an alternative to smartphone or tablet entertainment. The zone’s offer is aimed at different age categories. For the youngest, there is, among other things, a soft beach with a ball pool and interactive games. Older children and adults can test their strength on obstacle courses and by participating in fitness games and reflex challenges. Children can satisfy their curiosity by interacting with objects that affect different senses and let off steam on the climbing spaces. Suntago also allows birthday parties and special rooms with animators and mascots.

Technology and sport

The new Crocodile Island zone also stands out for its use of modern technology, which offers the opportunity to participate in educational and entertaining games. Noteworthy here is the Hit-it game by Eli Play, which allows competition in scoring points through physical activities. In the ‘Beach’ section, children can enjoy projection games and ‘Build Your Island’ allows them to create their own islands using sand. Hidden in the zone, numerous curiosities allow you to expand your knowledge of the tropical rainforest in an attractive way without having to travel to the other side of the globe.

Experts from Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, England and Portugal worked on the creation of Crocodile Island. The main designer of the concept is Creative Studio Berlin, led by Chris Lange, which has numerous theme parks in Germany, the UK and Saudi Arabia to its credit. The Polish realisation is unique in that it is geared towards combining play with education, engaging the various senses.
