Weranda Home in Sławica is a place where time passes differently. Situated in the Zielonka Forest Landscape Park, right by Lakes Księże and Borowe, the property has for years attracted those seeking relaxation in nature, an intimate atmosphere and refined hospitality. Although it is just a 40-minute drive from Poznań, it offers a completely different perspective – peace and quiet, space and comfort that are hard to find closer to the city. It is no wonder that the venue is often chosen by young couples or companies organising parties, workshops and training sessions in the historic manor house.
Weranda Home was established on the site of a former manor house. Both the manor house and the surrounding grounds have been revitalised. During the work, the history of the site was treated with respect, and valuable features were preserved. The interiors evoke the style of a classic manor house, but are not a reconstruction – they are a contemporary interpretation of timeless elegance. Today, Weranda Home is an extensive complex comprising the Residence, the Villa and year-round cottages in the woods. Each of these parts has been designed so that guests can relax surrounded by nature, whilst enjoying the comforts of a modern boutique hotel.
A space for relaxation and activity
The surroundings of Weranda Home encourage you to slow down. Guests have direct access to the lake and can make use of boats, SUP boards, bicycles and Nordic walking poles. Morning walks in the woods, yoga sessions on the jetty and evenings by the campfire are particularly popular. In the cottages, you can retreat amongst the trees, whilst at the Residence you can relax on the terrace overlooking the garden. There’s a playground for families, and for those seeking complete tranquillity – a Finnish sauna and chill-out areas.
Weranda Home is a place that encourages mindful relaxation. Guests are keen to make the most of the opportunity to spend time offline, without rushing and without an overload of stimuli. The owners emphasise that this is a space where you can simply be – read a book on the terrace, have breakfast al fresco, or immerse yourself in the silence of the forest. One of Weranda Home’s greatest strengths is its cuisine. Dishes are prepared using local, natural produce, and the menu changes with the seasons. This approach continues the philosophy familiar from Weranda’s Poznań venues – though here it takes on a more distinctive character. In recent years, Weranda Home has also been developing its culinary offering for groups – ranging from elegant tasting dinners to cookery workshops led by renowned chefs. These are options particularly appreciated by companies organising team-building retreats and couples planning a more intimate, multi-day celebration. However, the restaurant is not open every day. Weranda Home has been one of the most popular venues for events near Poznań for years. The property offers over 2,200 square metres of space, including a banquet hall opening onto the garden, a dining room, terraces and chill-out areas. The Residence has 12 suites, whilst the Villa offers further cosy rooms. The cottages increase the accommodation capacity to over 80 beds, allowing events of various scales to be organised. The possibilities are wide-ranging: from outdoor weddings and wedding receptions, through christenings, First Communions, birthdays and hen parties, right through to conferences, training courses, team-building events and cookery workshops. Picnics, board meetings, photo shoots and even multi-day stays for creative teams in need of a space conducive to conceptual work are also popular. In fact, we experienced this for ourselves whilst relaxing at the manor house a few days ago.
Holidays surrounded by greenery
The owners are also expanding their offering for those planning longer stays. Family breaks lasting several days are becoming increasingly popular, during which guests can make use of the full range of leisure facilities, as well as the option to book personalised activities – from yoga sessions to intimate concerts in the garden.
