BXB studio Boguslaw Barnaś presented two unique house designs – ‘Ciasny ale Własny’ and ‘Ciasny ale Wysoki’. These minimalist and elegant buildings redefine the concept of compact living, combining functionality, aesthetics and a sustainable approach to design.
The first project, ‘Ciasny ale Własny’, offers 69sqm of usable space with a built-up area of just 54sqm. The ‘Cramped but Tall’, on the other hand, has a floor area of 112sqm, with a built-up area of 69sqm. Both houses are distinguished by their compact form, allowing them to be realised even on small plots.

The first realisations of these houses will be built in the Beskid Wyspowy. The projects are an answer to the growing demand for small, economical houses. Their main idea is to minimise construction and maintenance costs, while ensuring the comfort of the occupants. Thanks to their small size, they reduce the impact of construction on the environment, promoting a more sustainable lifestyle.

The “Tight but Own” and “Tight but Tall” houses are available in a variety of material and space options, such as eaves or eaveless roofs. The designs can be quickly adapted to the builder’s requirements and local regulations. BXB Studio’s innovative design system allows buildings to be flexibly adapted to budgets, individual needs and different locations.

These houses can form part of picturesque, intimate settlements. BXB Studio proposes different variants for the arrangement of the buildings in ensembles – from linear to concentric layouts, with a central courtyard to foster the integration of residents.

The architects at BXB Studio have attached great importance to harmony, simplicity and natural materials such as wood, stone and sheet metal, which develop a noble character over time. The interiors were designed with ergonomics in mind. The living area features the author’s ‘Lotus Flower’ sofa, designed in the studio, and the whole is complemented by Natalia Jóźwiak’s paintings from the ‘Abundance’ series, which perfectly harmonise with the surroundings full of round forms, a fireplace, a coffee table and the texture of wood. These elements form a coherent composition, emphasising the cosiness and modernity of the interior.

“Ciasny ale Własny” and “Ciasny ale Wysoki” are innovative projects for people looking for functional, individualised and sustainable housing solutions. The minimalist approach to architecture here combines quality of life with environmental concerns.
