The double edition of TR³ FRESH! x PRINT! promises to be exceptional, with almost 300 brands and designers taking part in the event. This is a record in the history of the September editions of TRŁ! At the fair we will see over 60 fantastic debuts from all over Poland and an exhibition of retro-modern posters by Andy Lodziński. We are preparing the biggest celebration of Polish design and poster art this autumn in Warsaw.
Hi Warsaw, we missed you! We’re opening TR³’s big autumn tour of Poland with a double edition of FRESH! x PRINT! It will be a weekend of novelties, premieres and stars. Top Polish names and the hottest brands will bring thousands of pretty things to EXPO XXI, and our fair hall will simply explode with colours and good energy. Choosing almost 300 exhibitors from over 500 applicants was extremely difficult, but it was worth it – we are proud of the results! – say the organisers, Ajka Mroczkowska, Ania Pruszyńska and Paweł Stremski.
What is FRESH! in Polish design? Colour, colour and more colour!
There has probably never been such a colourful and energetic edition of TRŁ before. TRŁ FRESH! x PRINT! is all about freshness and debuts – there will be as many as 60 at this edition! – and the boldness and fascination with colour is evident among the many new brands. From the entrance, the premiere stands of the FURNITURE zone promise to be fantastic, including the SOLIFE brand, winners of this year’s Must HAVE title, whose colourful outdoor furniture and accessories are equipped with their own photovoltaics. Colour and steel in a modern edition will also be seen at the STEEL WAVE and NC.FORM brands making their debut in Warsaw, whose furniture simply delights with its modernity, workmanship and simplicity of form . There will also be colourful stalls of TRŁ audience favourites – furniture and textile brand HOGAI, TOTEM STUDIO WARSAW (does anyone still not know their crazy wooden totems?), or GIBKI.DESIGN – creators of 3D printed vases and practical “donuts” for jewellery . Speaking of donuts, TRŁ will of course feature real and colourful – and how! – donuts from MOD DONUTS, which are always extremely popular and have already become a cult symbol of the Trade Fair of Fine Things.
LAMPS? Also in colour! We promise visual madness!
Debut and designer brands from the LAMPY zone will also surprise with colour. BAAURA are hand-woven lamps made of colourful strands, which combine retro style with modernity and make a huge impression live. THE LUMO STUDIO will be showing how to breathe life and colour into classic luxe and create decorative lamps that rule in interiors. At the PLANKTON brand stand, you will see a premiere collection of fantastically original lamps by LOFU, alluding to postmodernism and the aesthetics of the Memphis group, while BLUBA STUDIO and YAM YEST DESIGN will show how creative and brilliantly designed 3D printed lamps can be. For a lamp dessert, something unusual – the NO BEIGE FEELINGS brand, i.e. lamps made of coloured (and not only!) recycled glass, which are created only in one copy. Check out their Instagram. It will be a visual feast and madness all at once!
PRINT in every edition – thousands of posters, notebooks and books!
It’s a tradition now – posters, illustrations, collages, notebooks, books, magazines and paper accessories rule at the September edition of TR³. The huge PRINT zone features as many as several dozen stands of leading Polish artists – the biggest such zone of the season! We will be joined by BARTOSZ KOSOWSKI, KASIA LISIAK, DAWID RYSKI , PAWEŁ JOŃCA, JUSTYNA FRĄCKIEWICZ, PRZEMEK SOKOŁOWSKI and ADAM KOSIK. The latter, especially for TRŁ, prepared a premiere of illustrator pins with architectural icons of Warsaw and Poland. The pins look great and are likely to become one of the hits of this edition. In addition to thousands of posters at TRŁ FRESH! x PRINT! there will be no shortage of author’s notebooks, planners and accessories handmade in local manufactures – don’t miss the stands of the debut MISPRINT, PAPER PLUS DRUK, PAPER CHARM ATELIER, MINIMALIFE, CURATED PAPER, or the author’s REPEAT FOOD WRITER project created especially for fans of notebooks and good food. A selection of unique collectible books on design and lifestyle will be taken care of by (1001)DISPATCH.
A special event of this edition will be an exhibition of minimalist posters by ANDY LODZIŃSKI – a Londoner who fell in love with the Polish poster school, but also with Poland and our nature. His illustrations – extremely simple, referring to the classics of Polish poster art – are a fantastic visual journey around the Baltic Sea, the Masurian Lake District and the Tatra Mountains. Full of nostalgia, but dressed in a very contemporary and attractive form. Posters from the “JEZIORKO” exhibition will, of course, be available for purchase during the event.
CERAMICS and GLASS – stars, debuts and another sea of colour!
More than 50 top ceramic brands from all over Poland – such things only happen at the Fair of Nice Things. ZAKWAS STUDIO from Wrocław delights with its minimalist forms and cobalt accents. Just like the insanely precise ceramics from WESKY STUDIO. Poznan’s HADAKI and SPIEK CERAMICZNY are in a class of their own, and the hand-painted ceramics from GABI STRAMA are a true phenomenon. Of course, there will be strong strokes of colour – including at the MUKAMBO or MOMO CERAMIKA stands. Get ready for over a dozen fantastic debuts – WELA ONT CERAMIKA, ALIKE POTTERY STUDIO and ORANGERIA STUDIO are just the tip of the ceramic iceberg – there will be plenty to discover! Fans of glass will be sure to stop by the STAR GLASS brand – these hand-fired glass wonders delight with their shapes, colours and, since their debut at the winter edition of TR£, have invariably been adored by the fair audience.
This is just a small sample of what will be happening on 21-22 September at TR³ FRESH! x PRINT! in the EXPO XXI hall in Warsaw’s Wola district. Almost 300 exhibitors from all over Poland, 8 thematic zones, two days with the best independent design and the most important brands, designers and creators plus the unique atmosphere of the Fair of Nice Things! If you love Polish design, are curious about new products and trends, like to surround yourself with nice things and meet interesting people – this is the place to be.
