Woven into the harvest wreath, it is an expression of respect for the time and labour that have brought forth the crop.
This idea served as the starting point for the latest line in ORSKA’s best-selling Bery collection. The handcrafted jewellery draws inspiration from the structure of a real ear of corn: a row of precisely arranged awns, a gentle curve under the weight of the grains, and a subtle play of light on the golden surface. Every detail has been crafted with ORSKA’s characteristic sensitivity to natural structures and their imperfections. As golden as the fields in August, this jewellery draws inspiration from folk traditions. For centuries, ears of corn were tucked behind holy images, woven into wreaths hanging above doorways, and hidden in a corner of the barn to bring good luck until the next sowing. Today, you can carry it with you as a metaphor for the confidence that what matters will come in due course.
The Bery Collection – a jewellery herbarium
Bery is one of the brand’s most important and recognisable collections. It tells the story of the Polish landscape: wild meadows, forest undergrowth and roadside thickets. Designer Anna Orska drew inspiration from hand-made herbariums, in which plants have been preserved for generations not only for their beauty, but also for the meanings they carried: clover for good luck, mistletoe for success, pine needles as a symbol of strength, and poppy heads for abundance. In ORSKA’s interpretation, the plants and herbs of forests, fields and meadows have taken the form of a jeweller’s herbarium, which preserves them for longer than the pages of a book ever could. Each motif retains its natural texture, asymmetry and organic rhythm, making the jewellery resemble small sculptures created by nature.
