Krakow joins the ranks of global metropolises where The Hoxton brand operates. Hotels of this chain can already be found in New York, London, Paris or Amsterdam, and now also in the capital of Malopolska. The first facility in the country will be built in the NOHO development at 10 Dolnych Młynów St. This will be the 20th hotel in the global portfolio of the brand, which has been attracting artists, cultural figures and celebrities for years. The Hoxton in Krakow will open a new chapter in the history of the Polish hotel industry.
The Hoxton in Krakow
The Hoxton has built its reputation on creating places that are open, vibrant and firmly rooted in the local context. Such a concept was ideally suited to the character of the Dolne Młynów 10 project being developed by NOHO Investment. As the company’s president and co-founder Rafał Kula emphasises, the cooperation is based on similar values.
“NOHO and The Hoxton share a common philosophy – attention to detail, openness, authenticity and hospitality, which translate into exceptional experiences. It is a partnership where aesthetics and lifestyle go hand in hand with quality and comfort. The Hoxton is a natural complement to Lower Mills 10, and together we are creating a space that connects people, energises the city and redefines the concept of luxury, understood as an everyday lifestyle rather than artificial glamour.”
Legacy of Lower Mills
The history of the site where the hotel will be built dates back to the second half of the 19th century. In 1876, the production of tobacco products began there in a factory set up on the initiative of the Mayor of Krakow, Professor Józef Dietl. It was one of the first tobacco factories on Polish soil, and its operations continued uninterrupted for over 100 years. The last cigarettes came off the production line in 2002. Soon afterwards, new life entered the post-factory buildings when bars, cafés and restaurants appeared within their walls. The complex quickly became one of the most popular meeting and entertainment venues in Kraków. The ongoing redevelopment and adaptation will be the next chapter in the history of the Lower Mill Street buildings.

The Hoxton in Krakow in the atmosphere of the Old Town
The hotel at 10 Dolnych Młynów Street will offer 115 rooms ranging in size from 21 to 50 square metres. At the heart of the development will be a restaurant and bar located in the central lobby, designed as a meeting place for travellers and locals alike. The local character of the development will be emphasised by the Hox Gallery, an exhibition space with a rotating programme featuring the work of artists associated with Krakow. A rich musical and cultural offer is also planned.
The hotel will also feature The Apartment, the Hoxton chain’s signature venue for meetings and events. It consists of several private rooms clustered around a communal Pantry Kitchen, conducive to integration. The interiors will be decorated in a style that combines a variety of textures and colours with functionality and comfort. Each hotel at The Hoxton draws inspiration from the neighbourhood in which it is built, so in Kraków too, the atmosphere of the historic Old Town will be transferred to the contemporary interior design.
Dolnych Młynów 10 – new hotel in Kraków
“Krakow is a city that delights with art, architecture, an exciting culinary scene and hospitality. This combination of culture and community makes it the perfect home for The Hoxton. We are delighted to be working with NOHO Investment to bring the brand to Poland for the first time. The unique nature of the Dolne Młynów 10 project is redefining the concept of lifestyle hospitality in the country.” – rob Andrews, Brand Chief Operating Officer of The Hoxton brand in Ennismore, said.
The development, which will house the hotel, is one of NOHO’s key projects. The complex combines premium flats, a lifestyle zone dedicated to residents, a food hall, restaurants and service spaces. The open courtyards, greenery and art elements are intended to create a space that will become a new reference point not only on the map of Krakow, but also on a European scale.
