The power of colour! Fresha’s office in Warsaw inspires action

Contemporary offices are no longer just workplaces, but increasingly spaces that foster relationships between employees. The latest project by SAAN Architekci is an example of how thoughtful design can influence the atmosphere and comfort of users. The office of the international company Fresha, located in the Central Tower building in Warsaw, impresses from the threshold with its bold approach to colours and materials. An attractive feature of the office is the playroom area, offering the best view of the Warsaw skyline, including the Palace of Culture and Science. The entire space reflects the modernity, energy and innovation inherent in Fresha, an international company developing software for beauty salons.

Energetic space for a creative team

The architects from the SAAN studio, who have won numerous awards in Poland and abroad for their office interior concepts, set themselves the goal of creating a modern, dynamic and inspiring space for Fresha’s programming team. The open structure of the 550 m² office is conducive to employee integration, and the division of functional zones is very clear and well thought out. Luscious colours, natural materials and transparent glass partitions play a key role here, allowing a sense of spaciousness to be maintained while separating the various departments of the company from each other.

Modern architectural solutions and details

Most impressive is the kitchen, connected to the common area, which is the heart of the office. The dominant deep blue colour scheme creates a distinctive character to the space, contrasting with the warm wood. Also notable is the large wooden island with overhanging lampo-donica, which serves both a utilitarian and aesthetic function. It is a place used not only for dining, but also for casual meetings of team members and corporate events. Another eye-catching element is the lounge area – equipped with a large soft furnishing, enabling relaxation and spending time together, e.g. with games or films. Neon signs are also a feature of the design, such as the motivational ‘Make it happen’ sign, which adds a bit of youthful feistiness and character to the interior.

Design inspiration and challenges

The main inspiration for SAAN Architects was the ideology and values of Fresha – modernity, dynamism and a fresh approach to business and teamwork. An abundance of natural greenery, including hanging plants above the conference table, adds lightness to the interior and introduces elements of the friendly biophilic design trend to the office located in Warsaw’s Ochota district.

The work in the age-old Central Tower building presented some challenges, such as non-ideal structural ceilings and old installation systems. Despite this, the designers managed to create a modern space, using eco-friendly solutions such as acoustic ceilings, vinyl flooring and felt carpeting. It was also crucial to provide ergonomic spaces for hybrid and coworking, making the office conducive to both individual and collaborative working.

Modern style and ergonomic working

The office interior combines two styles – modern, based on simple forms and bold colour accents, and soft loft, characterised by open technical ceilings. The corridors in a juicy lime shade enliven the space and energise the employees. The individual work areas maintain a muted colour scheme based on white, natural wood and green, creating an environment conducive to concentration. The conference rooms and creative workspaces are characterised by intense accents of orange that stimulate action, enhancing the dynamism of the business meetings taking place here. Attention to acoustic comfort is reflected in the soundproof telephone booths, which ensure silence and privacy during employee conversations. Modern lighting effects such as mirrors, neon signs and illuminated tension surfaces have also been used throughout the space, further emphasising the contemporary nature of the design.

An office with soul and space for integration

SAAN Architects created a space that not only fulfils the office function, but also reflects the organisational culture of Fresha – a company with a strong emphasis on communal breakfasts, lunches and team integration. Thanks to a thoughtful concept and attention to detail, it has been possible to create a space that inspires, motivates and provides a comfortable working environment. This proves that an office design placed in the right hands of an architect can be a place full of life, creativity and well-being every day.

The design of the Fresha office was the result of the SAAN Architekci team led by the lead architect, Iga Sawicka and Aleksandra Niedużak. The SAAN Architekci design team also included: Dominika Ogłoblin, Kinga Wiercioch, Viktoria Piatruchyk, Martyna Blaśkiewicz and Agnieszka Kubsik.
