Sometimes an interior tells a story better than words. The one we are featuring today is a tale of harmony, a subtle base and bold accents that fully define this space. Although beiges and greys dominate, the interior teems with cobalt and burgundy thanks to the expressive colours, and the soft and edgy forms. It is a home that surprises yet soothes at the same time.
A neutral base – the perfect backdrop for creativity.
The foundation of the interior is formed by neutral shades of beige and grey, which gently fill the space. The walls and furniture fittings in light, neutral tones are the ideal backdrop; they do not impose themselves, but subtly emphasise the character of the furniture and accessories. The floor is dominated by French fir, whose classic pattern adds elegance to the space. The staircase, finished in a colour perfectly matched to the floor, creates a seamless and coherent composition. This backdrop appears calm, almost invisible, but there is strength in this simplicity. Without competing with the expressive accents, it allows them to fully resonate.
Shapes that catch the eye.
Highly impressive here shapes – rounded, feminine, soft, appear in every room. A quilted sofa, anthracite chairs with an unusual form, or a wooden table with rounded edges and fancy legs – these elements create an individual atmosphere in the interior. Expressive but not gaudy, these forms bring a softness to the space that contrasts with the geometric lines of the architecture. The roundness is visible not only in the furniture, but also in the accessories – mirrors with a rounded form, subtle curves in the lighting or the soft lines of the handles introduce harmony and balance. This interior is a contradiction of sharp edges and its shapes almost seem to invite you to touch it.
Expressive colours – the power of detail.
However, what sets this space apart is the boldness of the colour selection. Burgundy and cobalt, two strong, deep hues, appear as accents that build up the character of the interior. The burgundy console in the entrance area juxtaposed with the cobalt bench creates a first impression – it’s like a foreshadowing of the story the interior will tell next.
This interior is not afraid of contrasts – the neutral base emphasises the intensity of the accessories, while the classic floor and simple architectural lines enhance the softness of the rounded forms. The colours, although expressive, have been used sensitively, so that the space maintains a balance. This is a home where every detail seems well thought out. It is elegant but cosy at the same time; calm but not devoid of character. It is an interior that will inspire both lovers of the classics and those who appreciate modern design with an artistic soul.
