For the seventh time, the Mam Marzenie Foundation will join forces with the DESA Unicum Auction House, thanks to which the proceeds from the auction of unique works of art will make it possible to fulfil the dreams of the Foundation’s charges – children suffering from life-threatening illnesses. The 7th Dream Auction will be inaugurated by a vernissage of the exhibition, which will take place at the Bellotto Gallery in Warsaw from 6 to 16 February this year. This unique opportunity will also allow visitors to meet the artists behind the works created with the intention of helping others. It is by learning about the context and stories that give them special value that bidders will take part in an extraordinary artistic feast.
This year’s Dream Auction, co-organised by the Mam Marzenie Foundation, DESA Unicum and the Bellotto Gallery in cooperation with contemporary modern artists, will move, educate and really help to fulfil the dreams of children with life-threatening illnesses. Previous editions of the project, co-created by nearly 100 artists, have raised PLN 295,000. Thanks to them, 8-year-old Szymon was able to see his dream dinosaur skeletons at the Natural History Museum in Berlin, and 5-year-old Ignaś had his room furnished.-year-old Szymon was able to see his dream dinosaur skeletons at the Natural History Museum in Berlin, 5-year-old Ignaś participated in furnishing his room with his favourite characters from the film “Paw Patrol”, and 16-year-old Adrian captures the emotions and beauty of everyday life with his dream camera. Dozens of such stories bring further exciting auctions of unique works of art as part of the Dream Auction project.
By following the work of the Dream Auction, you can experience a variety of artistic directions. This year, a special novelty will be a sculpture by Jakub Ryszard Koncewicz made of a self-hardening clay skeleton, nuts, acrylic, stone and aluminium foil. Also extremely topical is Radim Koros’ computer graphics painted on a tablet in Clip Studio Pro and in collaboration with the NEXT 2.0 algorithm.
The project will culminate in a charity auction of works of art, which will take place in March at the DESA Unicum Auction House. All proceeds from the auction will be used to make the dreams of the Mam Marzenie Foundation’s charges come true.
