This is a new development by Stoprocent Architekci. The building is located in Sochaczew. The house consists of three simple blocks, which were built on a plot by the river. The gabled roofs are reminiscent of traditional construction, but with a modern twist.
The design of the building was prepared in 2022 and construction took almost two years. The house is 450sq m in size and sits on a long plot of land that slopes gently towards the Bzura River. In order to adapt the house to the needs of the residents, the architects decided to build three smaller ones instead of one large block.
The design premise was to create spatial enclaves for each of the passionate users and a common meeting place for a multi-generational family, while opening up towards the picturesque river and surrounding nature,” describe the authors of the project.
As a result, each of the three volumes was given a different function. They were all connected by a link, which made it possible to separate the parts and introduce intimate spaces between them. The whole has been filled with vegetation which, thanks to large windows, seems to penetrate into the interior. By dividing the building into smaller sections, the project takes into account the requirements of the local development plan.
In the northern part of the plot, economic and technical functions were designed with a large garage for four cars. In the southern part, a living zone was designed, consisting of a living room, dining room and study. The private zone with bedrooms was located on the eastern side of the plot. The attic space was also used. A mezzanine floor was arranged in the sleeping area, and a recreation room was created above the garage.
An annex in the form of a single-storey pavilion constitutes the entrance area. The architects designed a dressing room, kitchen and pantry in it.
The riverside house gives the residents the opportunity to actively spend time outdoors. They can spend time relaxing on the spacious terrace or more actively in the pool.
The house has a simple wooden façade made of Siberian larch, the colour of which will change over the years.
