This is a vibrant corner of the city. The flat is located in a townhouse on Francuska Street in Saska Kępa, Warsaw. It was designed for a family of four by FRAMUGA studio. Its inhabitants decided to return to the heart of the capital after many years of living near Warsaw. What their new space looks like! Take a look!
Francuska Street in Saska Kępa is famous for its pubs and distinctive aura. On warm days, the gardens of cafés and restaurants are filled to the brim. You can feel the life here, and at the same time, thanks to the intimate buildings, you get the impression of being far away on the outskirts of the capital.
The flat in the tenement has 104 square metres. This is a considerable space that meets the needs of the new residents. In order to adjust the interior to their expectations, the architects proposed a dramatic change in the layout of the rooms. The present kitchen was previously replaced by a living room, and the master bedroom, after changes, gained a private bathroom with a bathtub.
Another dream realised by the investors was to have a kitchen island and a large bookcase. These elements were also successfully introduced into the new space. The bookcase was cleverly placed and almost hidden behind a custom-made wardrobe that separates the hall from the living room.
The architects wanted the interior to correspond to the old tree stand surrounding the building. That is why you will find here natural, warm wood in many shades, green and beige,” say the authors of the project.
The owners also wanted the space not to be overwhelmed by ornamentation and classical accents, so the composition is very balanced and simple. Only a few accents, such as classic chairs from 366 Concept or furniture from the Polish brand Pastform, remind us of the stony side of the interior. In addition to wooden furniture, the flat contains a few pearls of Polish handicraft such as paintings and sculptures by Zuzanna Mikołajczuk and vases by Paititi Studio
